At least he usually thinks it's for their own good. So he's just incredibly arrogant and condescending, not outright evil. :)

Pete's becoming the new Juggernaut? Isn't that the very definition of overpowered?

now i just wanna see him f*** up the hulk...!

Not if the Juggernaut's performance in Thunderbolts lately is any indication. :o

I'm not really a fan of characters taking on other characters' identities, either. You're already Colossus, Colossus. Just be Colossus and let the Juggernaut be the Juggernaut. And Marvel, let the Juggernaut actually be the Juggernaut again instead of this wuss you've got running around in Thunderbolts. :o :o :o

Cain's powers have been waning for the past decade. It started right before his falling out with Black Tom, and it only got worse when he finally made up with Charles. It turns out Cytorrak takes away some of his strength whenever he's acting less evil. Joining the X-Men and Excalibur was pretty bad, and I imagine joining a supervillain chain-gang can't be helping matters.

The Thunderbolts are still a chain-gang, right?

Juggernauts power downgrade goes to show what happens when you try and be a nice guy :cwink:

Colossus is the new Juggernaut does that mean his illigitimate savage land son is the new Colossus :wow::cwink:

Waitaminute waitaminute! As long as he's not mourning any dead loved ones, Pete's one of the nicest guys in the X-Men. Unless someone decides to kill of Illiyana or Kitty, he'd make a terrible Juggernaut.

The Juggernaut's power waned until he recommitted himself to Cyttorak just before New Excalibur ended and the X-Men moved west. He was back at full power for World War Hulk and it was awesome. There was a story about Cain being a dick again in that Manifest Destiny mini-series about the X-Men's move west, too.

Then apparently there was some stupid Amazing Spider-Man arc where the Juggernaut got the Enigma Force and became Captain Universe, which made Cyttorak jealous. Cyttorak dropped Cain's power level again and then the Enigma Force left him, so by the time he made it to Thunderbolts: wuss. Again. I wouldn't be so annoyed if this were the previous nerfing, since that was at least accompanied by Cain actively trying to reform. Now, he's decided to be totally unlikable again but he doesn't even have increased power to show for it.

And yes, the Thunderbolts are still currently prisoners working as a field team to shave time off their sentences. We just saw in the most recent issue that the current team is bonding, though. They beat the everloving s*** out of the Squadron Sinister's Hyperion for abandoning Moonstone and Songbird to drown and for generally being a jerk. Cain himself is the one who got up in Hyperion's face and told him they had to work together before getting smacked around for his trouble.

GGGRRRRAAAAWWWWWWLLLLL!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

I need to drop titles and New Mutants was one I was able to drop without issue... and NOW Abnet and Lanning show up?!!!

Marvel hates me :(

I guess the cosmic line is well and truly done if they're farming DnA out to X-comics now. :csad:

Who is that? Only one I can make out is Cannonball.

Everybody else is like, Generic Blonde plus brown guy. And that could either be Thunderbird III or, I don't know, Sunspot.

that image is from the first issue. Its Cannonball, Magik, Magma and Sunspot. Illyana's bangs have always been a distinct signature of hers. Magma however would come across as a generic blonde

I thought Magma was Husk. That would've been kind of interesting, having Sam and his sister on the team simultaneously. Could make for a nice arc about how he gets overprotective and it clouds his leadership abilities, paving the way for some fresh blood in the leader spot.

Husk has been designated as one of the many "X-Men" hanging around Utopia. Carey was the last one to really use her effectively during the (i believe) Necrosha-X crossover.

She was featured in one of those vampire minis during the last arc. I dont know what she did. I tried to ignore that story

what happened with Ultimate Comics X? is it still going? i never read Ultimate X-Men but i was starting to like that book.

Who knows. I forgot about it. I know it was bimonthly, but cant remember when it last came out

Yeah, that stinks. However, it seem like DnA is slowly but surely moving up the ranks, and if anybody deserves it they do. I'd love for them to take over the big X-books down the line and fix that mess.
