(...) returning to the uncertainty and excitement of a world where mutants were on the verge of extinction would do the X-Men series some good.

That's like a Tuesday for Mutants at this point.

Really feeling the need for X-men waning.

I feel like we just keep ending up in a situation where the main flagship title is pretty weak.

The crossover has reduced my excitement for Uncanny a little bit, but I'm sure things will be back to form next issue. That cover looks great! NYX continues to be a standout. Really liked issue 7. If the rest of the era was closer to that, I think I'd be a bit more enthusiastic. The recent reveals regarding Xavier and the Avians don't have me super excited.
