I have that line as a sound bite on my computer everytime it boots up.![]()
True.we wouldnt have gotten this show if the 80s X-men had been picked up.
no you dont ge it. The X-men may have gotten a cartoon but it would not be TAS. That was unique. Had Pryde of the X-men been picked up, and had a healthy 4-5 year run, then a new X-men cartoon wouldnt have been able to debut till maybe around 1995 or 1996. Who knows what a series debuting then would have been like. The roster would most likely have changed and/or direction of the series. It wouldnt be the same TAS that we all knew and grew up on. I think thats what was meantI don't think that thats neccessarily true. Look at Spider-man..he's had a cartoon on since 1967.
I think that X-men is a concept that any kid can get into (same as any action/adventure cartoon, especially with superheros) so wether it debuted in 1989 or 1992 it was going to be a success either way.

evolution wasn't that bad. first few seasons were really kiddified, but it got better.
The X1 theme was clearly based on the Animated Series. (if you add more two notes it would be basically the same) I remember reading an interview where they said some people actually wanted that theme for the movie, but the composer decided to only base it on TAS, loosely.I really wanted the theme tune to appear in an X-Men movie![]()
Download a song called the X-Jet, or just watch the last scene, as Prof. leaves the cell. It strongly reminds the TAS theme...^I don't remember thatI'll just to rewatch it now lol
