We keep going on how much she sucks and she will soon become a trash icon.

Pryde of the x-men was awesome and I wish that it would have been picked up, the 80's would have rocked just a little bit more.

This was a great series and a true classic right up there with B:TAS.

Worst season was the final one.

X-men evolution was a terrible show.

we wouldnt have gotten this show if the 80s X-men had been picked up.

I don't think that thats neccessarily true. Look at Spider-man..he's had a cartoon on since 1967.

I think that X-men is a concept that any kid can get into (same as any action/adventure cartoon, especially with superheros) so wether it debuted in 1989 or 1992 it was going to be a success either way.

no you dont ge it. The X-men may have gotten a cartoon but it would not be TAS. That was unique. Had Pryde of the X-men been picked up, and had a healthy 4-5 year run, then a new X-men cartoon wouldnt have been able to debut till maybe around 1995 or 1996. Who knows what a series debuting then would have been like. The roster would most likely have changed and/or direction of the series. It wouldnt be the same TAS that we all knew and grew up on. I think thats what was meant

Exactly.

Sure, another X-Men animated series would have happened eventually if the pilot "Pryde of the X-Men" would have been picked up, but there really is no telling how different of a show we would have ended up with after the "Pryde" show would have ran it's course. Havok pretty much covers it though.

I'm not bashing the fox one at all (well except maybe the final season) I was just stating that pryde was just as good and what it COULD have been like had it gotten picked up.

I'd say an x-men cartoon starting in 95 wouldn't have been so terrible as spider-man had debuted in 94.

And as far as what type of show we end up with....well back then it would have gone from good to good wheres after fox's x-men we got crap ie. evolution.

evolution wasn't that bad. first few seasons were really kiddified, but it got better.

It had some alrigth episodes and the idea that things are new and fresh (ie good guys are bad guys bad guys are good guys ala ultimate x-men) but overall it fell flat as it was like you said kiddified.

I should hope so...

what all happened? I didn't follow it regularily by that point.

Also I did like the designs for the characters.

bah, lotta stuff. They were exposed to the world as mutants and faced a Sentinel at the end of season 2. Mystique blew up the mansion and so they were on the run for a while. Apocalypse was introduced. Rogue "killed" Mystique. Legion showed up. Lotta other stuff.

I wish they got the voice cast back to do the new Wolverine and the X-Men series.

Yeah, I like how it was really story-driven. The characters (besides Storm :csad:) were really fleshed out.

I really wanted the theme tune to appear in an X-Men movie :(

The X1 theme was clearly based on the Animated Series. (if you add more two notes it would be basically the same) I remember reading an interview where they said some people actually wanted that theme for the movie, but the composer decided to only base it on TAS, loosely.

^I don't remember that :( I'll just to rewatch it now lol

Download a song called the X-Jet, or just watch the last scene, as Prof. leaves the cell. It strongly reminds the TAS theme...

I suck :(
