X3 Box Office Tracker

Who the hell wouldnt like the 2nd? it was the perfect sequal? i wanna know what the hell they expected

I couldn't even make fun of it because it makes fun of its self soooo much. Brillant! I couldn't stop laughing it was damn near constanly funny.

Here's something that shocked the pants off of me: All of the angst and the drama came from....Will? Bloom did an amazing job all of the drama with Davey Jones (Awsomeness!), Bootstrap, Elizabeth, and the last two scenes...I was wowed by Bloom.

Norrington was just (insert words of wowness)

I just wished that X3 could have been like this. It was primed to be a great summer film and it was meh. Nothing spectacular about it. Unlike Pirates, arrg.

An extra $10m - those are good numbers at this last stage.

No it's an extra 1 million. It jumped up to 201.5 million after last weekend, and Mon-Thur it went up to 204.5 million. This weekend it bumped up just another 1 million thanks to Pirates and Superman. carpman just dropped the ball on tracking international #'s though I've been telling him. I think he's been hit by a cosmic storm. :)

Mojo are slow to update international figures aren't they.

It all comes from 2 sources. Mojo just seems to be the slowest and they are NOT any more accurate then the others.

X3 has already been pulled from my local multiplex Da Vinci Code is still in there however. Most other major cinema chains here are showing X3 once or in some cases twice a day now.So things are starting to wind down.

Yeah, The Last Stand was bumped out of a number of my theaters as well . . . theaters are wanting to make room for Pirates, etc.

I think Cars might catch X3. So far the leaders should end up like this:

Pirates
Cars
X-Men: The Last Stand
Da Vinci Code

after that...who cares though I'm really curious as to how well Rocky Balboa will perform. I'd guess 60-70 million tops.

Next year:

Spiderman 3
Pirates 2
FF2
Ghost Rider

Haha. You mean Pirates 3. You don't think Potter will perform better than Ghost Rider . . . even with its final book being released within a week of the movie's release? Actually, I guess the release date has yet to be confirmed . . . although 7/7/07 seems to be the date most think the seventh book will be released. It would be an excellent marketing ploy, especially in conjunction with the movie's release.

Maybe the run would have been longer had they gotten a run in IMAX.
You know personally i'd have like to have seen the movie in that format.Imagine some of the Storm and Phoenix sequences in those theaters! Thats the only way i'd go and watch it twice.

Yeah, summer 2007 is going to be mighty interesting. Someone is going to have to move back or push forward their release dates. Just some of the big flicks coming out next year...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
I Am Legend (Will Smith and Depp = gold)
Rush Hour 3 (these movies always do well)
Transformers (Is there more than meets the eye? Cause that teaser was weak)
Ocean's Thirteen (more stars than the milky way)
The Bourne Ultimatum
Die Hard 4
Punisher 2 (lol!)

No news, nothing absolutely nothing. At this rate Hulk 2 will probably go in front of cameras before this.

It doesn't help that the writer/director (Hensleigh) and producer (Gale Anne Hurd) rarely or never speak to the press about it. The only one who's been talking is Tom Jane.

Edit - Just posted some 'new' info over in the P2 forums.

Haha. I completely agree with you. An X-Men film in IMAX would have been an interesting thing to see.

Ah...Hugh in IMAX. :O

Although an IMAX "Wolverine" spinoff might be a little disturbing.

Weekend actuals:

Friday 7 July $298,632
Saturday 8 July $377,866
Sunday 9 July $244,044 (-35.4% on day / -69.1% on week)

Domestic $231,333,947
International $195,692,547
Worldwide $427,026,494

1st page updated.

So how close is X3's worldwide total gross compared to X2's? Has it bested it yet?

X3 passed X2's international box office two weeks ago. The boxofficemojo figure of $195m is dated 26th June. X2 was around $192m.
According to the screendaily report, earlier:
"X-Men: The Last Stand grossed $1m over the weekend and stands at $205.5m."
It will open in Japan in September, so that should add at least another $15m.
