X3 Dvd Info

I noticed that it might be just alternate scenes. Most of the lines that were cut from the trailers wouldn't fit with the lines in the movie.

That, I know. But again, the original concept was to have the scenes actually added back in without the whole branching option feature, hence new director's cut.

Why did they change their minds on that?

Im gonna buy this one, i like a lot when they show how the movie was made, the 2 disc set of x2 has that option and it is very interesting and entertaining

Tbh I doubt the behind the scenes doc will be 2hrs, I'd say that'll be edited down to 30mins or so!

Humm...good news..i love behind-the-scenes videos.

Looks like it's time to get my hands on that DVD. What happened to X2 btw, weren't there talks about a 2.5 release?

There were reports of x-men writers etc saying they filmed things for it. And Singer said he was working on it. But I guess they're still delaying it. Maybe for the X-3 DVD release.

i didnt think that there would be a director's cut any time soon. brett is going to go right into filming rush hour 3, so he's not going to have time for at least another year.

daredevil and elektra got director's cuts because those directors werent as busy. and peter jackson didnt do king kong until a little while after ROTK came out.

Rent it, Copy the movie and the extra disc, Tide me over till the extended cut. Extended cut comes out without the 2 hour making of, rent that. Copy that cut and put it and disc 2 in a case.

Why are you still here? Lying to everyone is not cool man. :down

Was their any mention of the release date?

And why are people getting upset that it will not be extended? I recall reading something awhile back where Ratner stated that everything he shot was going to be in the final release. So technically, we already knew the dvd would not be extended.

Because from the trailers and scenes that were shown, it's perfectly obvious that there's more to the movie than what was shown.

A LOT of material was taken out. That's why I refuse to believe Brett Ratner on this.

If it's true, then I guess he'll make sure his Rush Hours have deleted scenes and extended editions.

Actually, from what I have seen in the trailers, the scenes that, I believe you are talking about, were just different angles of what was in the final product. But Brett does say that they might be updated/added to the dvd. But I do not recall any scenes in the trailers that were NOT in the movie.

I mean, someone claimed in their review that the Sentinel head was not in the theatre release... it was. The same person said that there was no shot of the water like in the trailer, when Phoenix rose.... it was in it. And the person said that there was no mention of the name 'Phoenix' in the movie as well ... it was said 3 times in one scene.

I do not think that we are going to get anything additional in the dvd release. Tell me what you saw in trailers, that was not in the movie, and that you think we will get on the dvd?

Storm's tidal wave, Bobby and Kitty staring at eachother on the ice pond (later on even kissing, that was seen from a photo), Bobby: 'We're not kids anymore'.

Storm's tidal wave
Logan/Bobby exchange "You may not come home......" "We're not kids anymore."

What tidal wave? I dont remember it....

It was in the trailer/TV spots...

Storm was rising as a wave of water started falling upon Brotherhood pawns in the final battle.

And also,

- Trask's 'You know what must be done' at the beginning of the second trailer, wasn't in the movie.

- The pic of Colossus putting his hand over a kid's head, on the couch.

I'm surprised you haven't noticed. The missing tidal wave has been a hot topic lately (among other things )

Actually, that scene was during Xavier's funeral montage. It's weird; Colossus was AT the funeral, but there were a few shots of kids inside the mansion crying, and in one of them you could see the exact same kid from the same picture sitting by the window. However, Colossus was obscured by, I think, Siryn (or another girl) crying in the foreground.

Ah, ok. I'll have to look for that when I see the movie again this week.
