I saw the teaser poster and theatre standee when I saw Harry Potter yesterday (good movie...not so good ending). I got chills when I saw it, lol. It's like...it's really happening!

I took a photo with my cell phone, but can't upload the image, lol...but we've seen them already

OT: I saw the Superman Returns teaser on the big screen, and while I hated it watching it on my computer, I thought it was pretty cool on the big screen. I also got chills. Actually...I get chills for any comic-based film Just remove that shot of Clark walking towards Lois, and it was really nice!

Sunday I finally slept til noon. We saw Fantastic Four, which was rather terrible and wholly laughable. "Have you met my director of genetic research, [Jessica Alba]?" No, no we have not. There may have been more collective quality in the X3 poster in the lobby or the King Kong trailer before the film, but it was a nice stupid way to spend an afternoon. Flame on! (I kept wanting to add "...you crazy diamond!")

That's it for awhile. Next weekend we answer the question "How did Katie Fee get that way?"

FOX and Marvel completed their successful marketing relationship by introducing the X3 poster into Loews Theaters this weekend. Fairly uninspired, it’s a shot of Wolverine’s claws on top of a big “X” logo. It’s not like there’s much more you can show for a film that has yet to start shooting (and somehow, is supposed to come out in less than a year), but it got people talking. I had a discussion about this with our theater’s distribution-connection guy, Josh. Apparently we got five X3 posters, and if it turns out they actually don’t make the movie, FOX will most likely ask for the posters back. If the film does go forward with filming, Josh can’t give the posters away until the film is released. Being that I don’t plan on staying here for another year, someone needs to stop this movie from going into production so I can make a small Ebay fortune.

ooh and i also saw the x3 poster. which was amazing, it was like the cover of stonishing x-men #1: wolverine's fist with his claws out DD to make the '3' in x3. may 2006, it said. so we'll see phoenix, and she'll be all powerful, and logan and scott will become united in their fear of her and realise that they don't need her after all, like will and vaughn (although that just. totally doesn't work), for they are a formidable pair who can defeat ken and ryu.

So Zak and I went to see The Exorcism of Emily Rose last week. Much better than I expected. I also saw an X3 poster outside the theatre and had to call Ry about it. And it comes out 5/26?!?! That's ****ing crazy. Right next to it were posters for RENT and Memoirs of a Geisha. Can we say "double orgasm."

Since we're listing spottings of it, I thought I'd chime in. I've seen one in Cleveland (I forget the name of the theater) and at Loews at the Waterfront in Pittsburgh. They also have one of those bigass displays up, too. The giant X's with the claws.

HNR has learned that Marvel Entertainment and 20th Century Fox are readying an aggressive marketing campaign for X-Men 3, set to launch in December.

The button will be pushed when USA Today publishes the first official still photos of the cast. Shortly thereafter, the first teaser trailer appears on the official website, which itself will be significantly updated.

Theatrically, the trailer will first appear with the December 14th opening of King Kong.

Fox's Fantastic Four DVD - set for release on December 6 - will also include an exclusive look at X-Men 3, hosted by Avi Arad, the head of Marvel Studios.
