UPDATE
Interesting....

From tobyholman.com:
In depth

i. Cover the work that we looked at in the last three or four weeks
ii. Talk through task 7:
a. As this is a joint question worth about 15% of your final mark for this coursework, complete the following:
i. Design a poster for X Men 3 for an thirty something, magazine. eg a lifestyle magazine. It should be designed to pick out the style for the older market and, as such, should ignore the more childish areas of the film (when this task has been given in the past, students have been able to complete this poster in about 30 minutes of a lesson. They should, therefore, be able to complete at least one of these by the end of the one lesson.)
iii. Talk through task 8
i. Design a second poster for X Men 3, but this time, design it for a target market of 10 – 18 year olds. Think about, and highlight on the work, why you have designed it the way that you have. (what is important is that the two posters are different from each other and that they have the ability to differentiate the posters between the two different target markets. They should be looking for making changes to the font and colour used as well as the wording for the poster.)
iv. At the end of the lesson, make sure that they are well under way with the task and appreciate what they need to do by next week (task 9) for their homework.

UPDATE
Possible X3 logo? I found this on the official site of Ingenious Media the company who are co-financing X3 have a something in their newsletter on the movie including a logo that looks similar to the title sequence of X2(movie not trailer).

From Ingenious Media:
10| X-MEN 3
Director: Brett Ratner (Rush Hour)
Producers: Avi Arad (Spiderman),
Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men 1 & 2)
Cast: Patrick Stewart (Star Trek),
Alan Cumming (X-Men, Spy Kids),
Hugh Jackman (Van Helsing),
Halle Berry (Die Another Day)
The third in the series which to
date has grossed over $700 million
at the global box office.
Public fascination with the Marvel
comics’ world has only increased
interest in this Fox franchise, set in
an elite school for talented mutants.
Halle Berry and Sir Ian McKellen
reprise their roles as Storm and
Magneto.

 Not to my knowledge.

That "V" poster looks so Van Helsing-ish.............

Hey! Why's he giving thumbs up for V and thumbs down for X3???

This might be one of the fans who are "in-the-know" as to how this production is going (director-changes, production delays). On the link, one of his buddies seems to be a fan, and is still optimistic about the outcome.

BTW:

There has been a X3 poster hanging in my local cinema in Copenhagen for a few months now.... :)
