Xavier and Juggernaut

The Juggernaut/Xavier thing could've become an entire subplot all on its own...It's probably why they chose to leave the whole thing out...

It's the same with the Weapon X thing with Sabes, Deathstrike, and Wolverine, and the weird stuff with Magneto/Sabretooth/Mystique and Rogue and Nightcrawler...

True. I didn't have a problem with them not mentioning it, since both are only in that one scene together at Jean's house. Now the lack of a Logan/Sabertooth history in X1...major flaw, considering Wolverine was the central character in the film.

The movies are different from the comic books. Remember that they didn't mention anything about Kurt being Mystique's son.

Definitely. That was a big flaw. Anyone who knows anything about Wolverine is aware of the relationship between Creed and Logan. There were allusions, but you didn't pick up on it unless you knew the characters prior to the movie. And Sabretooth didn't look very cool, either...

yea the wolverine/sabertooth relationship should've been done better. and the fight on the statue of liberty could've been ALOT better. it was cool, but that fight should've been more brutal.

I always figured they were saving the exploration of their past for Wolvie's solo flick. Bearing that in mind, I had no problem w/the dynamic between the two of them. And as for the lack of brutality, always remember they were trying to get a PG-13 rating.

True. Here's to hoping for exploration of their history in Wolverine's flick.

Hmmm..Not really...They can only do so much within the little space on top of the Liberty's head.. :p

Lol, yeah. It was Liberty's fault. Who built that thing? I'm gonna write a letter, :p

Also true; Wolverine got thrown off twice as it was.

The smallest thing they could've done is when Xavier and Magneto are walking past Juggernaut on the way into Jean's house, there could be a two eye contact shots inserted before Magneto looks to Cain, "No one gets inside". One of Juggernaut looking down at Xavier and another one of Xavier tilting his head towards him. It has to be very very subtle. Subtle enough for the casual movie goer not to realize any connection, but something for fans to pick up on...No dialogue, no drama, just one or two shots could've done the trick...if they wanted to.

The only bad thing about that little insert is that it could've taken a little bit away from the dramatic tension in the scene..

I think Matthew Vaughn wanted the two to have 'a moment'.

Yeah, it was put into an early script treatment, but apparently it became too big of a moment that was taking up too much time away from the main
story...

That's just it; it was unnecessary & didn't really fit.
