I like the movie but, i'm rather pissed that it was used more as a promotion for Avengers than for Hulk himself. I mean come on, even on these very boards ppl were talking more about the Stark cameo -which should have been an after credit scene imo because it stole the attention away from Banner/Hulk by being the closing scene.......

I'm sure Hurd wants it to happen, just like I'm sure Nelson wants it to happen. But ultimately it won't happen unless Marvel wants it to, which we've seen no indication of.

I really hate to admit it guys, but Chewy is right. Sure the news is great that a producer and a pivotal actor wants to make the sequel, but Marvel (and Norton) holds the key to the future of this franchise. The only thing we have heard from Marvel is "we will see Hulk again..."

Tim Blake Nelson, who played Dr. Samuel Sterns in The Incredible Hulk, tells Ain't It Cool News that the plan is for his character to become villain The Leader in a possible sequel:

Quint: Great well what about a potential HULK sequel? Gale Anne Hurd's been going around talking about how you might be The Leader and the main villain of the next one.
Tim Blake Nelson: That's the plan. That's what they tell me, but I don't know when that's happening or what the details are but I am eager to do it and I hear that's in the works. I would tell you if I knew more, but I honestly don't.

Quint: Yeah, but you haven't played a comic-book villain yet right?
Tim Blake Nelson: No, but I had a great time doing HULK, so if they want me for HULK 2 I'm there, it certainly was the plan going into HULK 1. When I met with them they said this is where it’s headed so I'm eager to do it.

Marvel Studios has not announced whether it will move forward with a follow-up.

I really hope Grey Hulk will be part of the sequel.
they have to bring something different for this movie franchise if they don't wanna fail and want the sequel to be unique and better, and not just more of the same.

This is the first time we get some actual confirmation that a sequel is in the works. GAH´s comments were more vague, but TBN really seems to indicated something´s been done. I suspect Norton may not be too sour grapes, he did a fair amount of promotion for the movie prior to release and seemed to understand the decisions made. I missed the deleted scene with Samson, but overall the cut scenes didn´t make that much of a difference.

I thought that Edward Norton was great.


Hurd: Edward was great, and he and Tim Blake Nelson – Tim Blake Nelson just directed him so they have a great relationship.
