I find it interesting that the Home Secretary John Reid apparently knew of this supposed plot yesterday.

In amongst all the talk and endless headlines and insights into the plane hijacking, did anyone else notice the small, almost insignificant article about Israel's plans for a full scale invasion of Lebanon?

Well, the "plot" was foiled early this morning/late last night. I would hope that John Reid knew of this "plot" for a while now, and was gathering intelligence as to the nature, timing and other elements. This isn't 24, it takes time to investigate these things and to take them down right. That being said, I'm always skeptical about these news stories about terrorists plots being taken down. Also that terrorists would use planes as a weapon again. Now we can't have anything liquid on planes? Here's a thought, identify the what the liquid is and the ethnicity of the people involved in that plot and look for that. I saw the news today showing some of the "liquids" being confiscated, it was all toiletry products. I'm just sick of the fear mongering, oh noes, now we're at terror alert blackwatch-plaid, a terrorist attack is immienent, be aware! However, we're not gonna give you anything but incredibly vague details until the threat is over.
