if GR n Silver Surfer got in a fight. i dont mean for this to be a VS. thread to discuss who thinks would win. i just think itd be cool if the two of em fought. like whether it was in the comics or a cartoon or even in a movie. itd be mad cool. a epic battle between the spirit of vengeance and the sentinel of the spaceways.

GR n SS would go at it in nyc. GR riding up or down the side of a building chasing after SS or vice versa. hellfire against the power cosmic blasts. GR catching SS with his chain n SS flys straight up taking GR with him, but GR gets a hold of him n they duke it out n wind up falling straight back down. thered be dust n crap everywhere n itd clear to show both of em standing about to attack each other. SS has his board hit GR from behind, then it shows SS on his board about to shoot some cosmic blasts. but GR has his bike run into SS knocking him off his board.

i dunno whod wind up winning if anyone would at all, but thats kinda what id like to see in a Ghost Rider/Silver Surfer fight.

That would be wicked to see. And ofcourse, GR reforming, and the astonishment on Thor's face as he watches the bones get back together, but this time GR throws a thousand chains around him to hold him...Thor electrocutes himself, causing a whiplash back at GR...while GR isn't even effected and begins to squeeze tighter while making the God of Thunder squeel like a pig with hellfire.

Ah yes, a match made in Hell, truly.

He is a spirit, but not a demon (yet he is called a demon many times), Dr. Strange has had one hard-ass time stopping him, no matter what spell he uses, Ghost Rider ends up breaking out of it, almost killing Dr. Strange in the process.

He dissappears and reappears in history, he has a pyschic connection with depraved and torchured souls of every single being in the entire universe, and it makes me tend to believe that Ghost Rider is far older than even Thor, or even Galactus, who doesnt even understand him. Whatever the Ghost Rider is, he's not the type of enemy you want to be seeing at any battle.

He would have to get the Surfer to stay still first. Not easy.

The Surfer would win. GR is not fast enough, and the Surfer has the power cosmic. But knowing Marvel, he would just get punked now and beat (sine everyone now seems to defeat the Silver Surfer).

They never said how old he is in any of the comics, in the Trail of Tears comics, it hints about him being a sort of God.

I remember being into GR when I was a kid. Then seeing the movie kind of rekindled my interest in the character. I had forgotten how badass he actually is.

I actually think a more intruiging fight would be GR versus Darkseid...talk about an interesting crossover classic.

ennis is doing his own take on the whole GR mythos. it is interesting but it still isnt cannon. n we did get an origin. the whole noble kale bit. til some high-up person in Marvel says otherwise or til someone does a GR series that actually acknowledges the 90s Kale series and retcons it, that origin is going to be the only one we get.

GR has actually fought Thor before, in one of the issues in the Graphic Novel Ghost Rider Team-Up, in the last issue GR takes on the Avengers, with no Penance Stare and kicks their asses, he even catches Thor's hammer!

One match-up i'd like to see is Ghost Rider vs Venom.
