You Do Your Annoying, Unorthodox Thing That You Do In The Wrestling Thread

John Cena would be a great Champion of the Universe (MCU), or Booster Gold (DCEU).

I honestly feel like people should ease up on Roman a little. I know that will get some heat but he has been having good matches, and I mean Braun is enjoyable but he's still not that seasoned, so Reigns, Big Show, and Zayn probably should get their due for helping all this come off as good as it has, as well RAW creative for putting him in great situations. I mean Braun himself has been better than most probably expected, but there are other people helping him along.

His matches with AJ Styles were great. There's no doubt in my mind that he will have a great match with John Cena when that match happens. Plus I am enjoying his feud with Braun.

Raw has gotten better due to Braun, Joe, Brock and Roman. As much as I hate on Roman, the guy is really talented and can put on a good match when he's in the ring against a good opponent.

He isn't talented at all. He's out of shape, his transitions between moves are slow and sloppy, his moveset is tiny, nothing he does looks impactful, he can't sell, and his matches follow a strict formula.

He's not even in the top 50 in WWE.

After last night's show I can't imagine anyone telling me with a straight face that WWE's product is remotely watchable right now.

It's worse than GFW and those idiots have Eli Drake in a feud with non-wrestlers.

Good lord. We get it, you hate WWE with a passion! If you don't like it, don't comment on it! Simple as that.

So when are you going to bash me for even suggesting New Japan make a presence at 2018 San Diego Comic Con? Because I think they should if they have any chance at destroying WWE.

It's easy to forget that WWE probably has the best roster it's ever had. Period.

Yet it can't create compelling stories to save itself. Literally.

Yeah if you had told me that a PPV that had AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, John Cena, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Rusev, etc all on the card would end up sucking this much, I wouldn't have thought that possible.

And then it actually happened.

No, I will continue to comment on it until everybody openly acknowledges what they already know deep down: WWE is ridiculously horrible. It's the worst wrestling promotion on national TV by a large margin.

It's not even a matter of me hating them. This is a cold, detached, honest evaluation of what they keep putting on TV.

They are destroying professional wrestling. It's their fault ad rates for wrestling are in the toilet. It's their fault wrestling as an artform is a joke to the mainstream. It's their fault that so many ridiculously talented wrestlers are wasting the primes of their careers in a gong show that Vince Russo couldn't even dream up in his worst, coke-fueled fever dreams.

You want to wrestling to be mainstream again? It's why I think my suggestion of New Japan at SDCC next year would be cool to see, but I bet you would hate it.

But it also had Jinder Mahal and the Great Kahli! It should have been the best show evar!!!!

On a serious note, I thought Kahli was permanently done. I guess whatever surgery he needed, worked. He seemed to be moving much faster last night.

I would book Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks at next year's SDCC, representing New Japan. They can explain to people what makes New Japan different than the WWE and why people should go New Japan rather than WWE and have some major announcements, like signing CM Punk or Daniel Bryan. Create such a buzz coming out of next year's San Diego Comic-Con that New Japan becomes the third most talked about topic coming out of SDCC, behind Marvel and DC.

Boom, New Japan becomes a serious threat to the WWE right away by making a massive buzz coming out of Comic-Con. New Japan all of a sudden makes pro wrestling cool again.

Sadly, I don't see that ever happening, so New Japan will probably remain having a cult following in America. That's too bad since Comic-Con is now a massive deal and not the niche it once was.

I would be able to understand your point of view a little more if you didn't say GFW is better than WWE. I have such a hard time watching that show, and I put up with a lot of bad stuff from WWE.

Speaking of GFW, I get the feeling that their relationship with Del Rio is not going to end well.

You and I continue to watch the WWE for the same reason we both continue to watch the NFL: it's a force of habit. We know how bad play in the NFL has been (I mean two ties in back-to-back weeks! Seriously?) and yet we continue to watch it. We know how bad WWE is and yet we continue to watch it.

Don't get me wrong, GFW is awful and very nearly as unwatchable as WWE.

What makes the difference it is GFW bringing in Pro Wrestling NOAH and AAA talent and just letting them have good matches. Naomichi Marafuji, Taiji Ishimori, Drago, El Hijo De Phantasma, etc.

They deserve to be made fun of. They're bad.

AAA is bad too.

None of these three companies are bad because of the talent, and that's the most annoying thing.

@famicommander What's your opinion on Karen Jarrett and Madison Rayne? Just curious.

Davey Richards is done with GFW, it's an amicable split as he wants to become a doctor, and even with the light GFW schedule, he wants to fully focus on medical school. I think his last match is this Thursday, where he is taking on Taiji Ishimori.

I'm no longer a hardcore wrestling fan. Amongst my friend group back during Highschool, we'd all watch wrestling and I'd have the same mentality that Fami has. I get where you're coming from. NJPW is no doubt more watchable but to a casual fan, like I consider myself nowadays, I'll never go out of my way to watch an NJ event. I've certainly watched some matches here and there but at the end of the day, WWE is easily accessible, better production and I have more of a sense of loyalty to promotion and to the wrestlers I've been watching for years.

It's probably a lost cause of keep coming in here to talk about WWE. You can't just say "I will continue to comment on it until everybody openly acknowledges what they already know deep down: WWE is ridiculously horrible." That's ridiculously immature and you're assuming that people don't already know that. Maybe they do, but would still rather watch it because they find it fun.

The hate for Reigns is probably because he's been forced into the cookie cutter WWE superhero mold, not so much because of who he is as a person or because he lacks talent.

Well we're not going to force ourselves to like Roman Reigns and how he's been booked since the Shield broke up just because Joseph Anoai is talented, you know.

This Roman in particular isn't good at all. Now if we're talking silent, badass, and intense Roman? Then that's what fans loved and wanted to see before Vince watered him down. The blame isn't solely on him really, he's just doing what he's told, although he should have enough pull to where he can speak up and say "Vince, this isn't working. Let me do my own thing."

Well, one good thing to come out of Battleground was this:

- Breezango Fashion Files continues!

Also, there's no chance of Batista's Spectre character Hinx returning is there?
