You Do Your Annoying, Unorthodox Thing That You Do In The Wrestling Thread

This Roman in particular isn't good at all. Now if we're talking silent, badass, and intense Roman? Then that's what fans loved and wanted to see before Vince watered him down. The blame isn't solely on him really, he's just doing what he's told, although he should have enough pull to where he can speak up and say "Vince, this isn't working. Let me do my own thing."

The fans weren't given a reason to care. Rollins and Ambrose, both got new looks, personalities and entrance music. Roman stayed mostly the same, only they tried to make him a "cool badass baby face" but he just came off as bit of a *****e. When the Shield split he really should have been the "quiet wronged man" type of character, just seething in rage because of Rollins betrayal. Actually have the Authority stack the odds against him, push him down the card, make it feel like he is dangerous and they are whatever it takes to keep him away from Rollins. Build it up to where he realizes he can't get his hands on Rollins, he'll make Rollins come to him by winning the Rumble and getting the title at WrestleMania. Make the championship secondary to wanting to destroy Rollins.

That could have got the crowd behind him. Though the Bryan/Rumble issue would have still probably been a tough thing to work around.

Definitely see your point. I could see the Bryan situation not being as bad if they pushed Roman organically and didn't attempt to make him this cool babyface.

If they kept Roman like this: It's just begging for money to be made. No one can tell me he didn't look badass.

Speaking of Bryan, I wonder if his desire to return to the ring and heading to New Japan will affect Total Bellas.

So with WM 34 in New Orleans next year, I could see the next four Wrestlemanias take place in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Minneapolis due to how the WWE wants massive NFL stadiums for WM and those four cities getting new NFL stadiums soon. It remains to be seen though whether or not they want back-to-back Manias in the Deep South (Atlanta for 35) or the Western US (Vegas and LA). Going back to New Orleans only a few years after WM 30 was surprising as I though 34 would have gone to Atlanta but I guess it makes sense since 2018 is the 300th anniversary of New Orleans.

How do wrestlers take bumps like the one security guy that Strowman tossed clear over the top rope without killing themselves?

Sigh...cause the last Bliss/Bayley feud was SOOO entertaining.

Sasha can't catch a break with the "big" PPVs.

Michael Cole calling Curt Hawkins, Kurt Angle? Why is he still employed?

So they have to do a three-way match at Summerslam right (Alexa vs. Bayley vs. Sasha)? Because there's no way that they built Sasha up this much, had that countout ending/post-match beatdown on the last PPV, only to then swap her out for Bayley now right?

They can't be that stupid right?

But anyway, overall it was a good show.

Also if they're doing a fatal four-way, then this is a good time to take the belt off of Brock (who can always get it back later on) without him being pinned or submitting.

I honestly feel like people should ease up on Roman a little.

I haven't see Roman wrestle since WrestleMania, but WWE and he deserve all of the flaming that they get from fans. A centerpiece should be one of the most polished guys on the roster, and generate excitement from all corners. At WM, the crowd was simply annoyed that Roman was in the final match, and he was unacceptably sloppy after the bell rang. It was like replaying John Cena matches from 10 years ago. That's simply not the way to keep older fans and inspire new ones.

Vince's compromise would be having Reigns mimic Bane's weird accent.
Oh, you think wrestling is your ally, you merely adopted the ring. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see kayfabe until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but selling! Belee dat!

Honestly, that would be one of the dumber ways of setting up a triple threat. I mean, we've seen Bliss/Bayley before and it wasn't pretty. Sasha/Bliss is what everyone wants to see and frankly, Sasha needs a big championship win on a PPV.

But I agree, the show was pretty good, though I'm not quite sure where they are going with the Kurt Angle/Jason Jordan thing.

I'm not quite sure where they are going with the Kurt Angle/Jason Jordan thing.

Eventually Angle will be at ringside, he'll probably get hurt, Jordan will go mental at whomever hurts him. Then further on, Angle will probably cost Jordan a match or two, leading to a heel turn when Jason just beats up Kurt. I expect they'll have a match at Mania perhaps where Kurt will put him over?

If somewhere during that storyline it's revealed that Kurt isn't really his dad, then I'm cool.

Seriously, I want this to be a con on the part of Jordan, referencing Six Degrees of Separation.

Samoan Abyss

the twist would be Shelton Benjamin coming back and he fights Kurt Angle over who's the real father.. Maury Povich would be the special guest referee.
