"You ready for another Bout?"- The Thor/Chris Hemsworth Thread

I agree totally that when we next see Thor he should be at a point where he doesn't give a damn about Loki. I'd even like to see Odin and Frigga wanting to show a bit of mercy to Loki and Thor insisting on a harsher punishment.

With a bit of luck Loki will be the one having to work hard to convince Thor that he deserves another chance.

Pretty much agreed with everything that everyone had to say in response to my previous post.

Well on another note, with the Empire Article confirming that Thor will be acting in as a full time general for the wars that Asgard is currently facing during this period, it’ll finally be a great chance for us to see the leadership qualities that Thor has in the MCU, let alone him commanding his own unit and not being as reckless regarding the safety of his soldiers like he was at the frost giants battle in the previous film.

The only psychological change I'd want is for him to have more of a "yeah whatever Loki, you do that again and I'm going to smash you straight back to jail" type attitude.

The rest of Thor's behaviour etc should be based on the events of TDW.
I especially don't want the actual battle in Avengers to have any psychological effect on him - It's so far from his 'first rodeo' *cough* that he's hopefully 'used to it' a bit.

Hell yeah, one of my friends even called Thor "soft" while he was talking Loki on top of Stark Tower in The Avengers.

I reminded him that they were raised as brothers after all and he understood, so I hope the events of TA made Thor less tolerant of Loki.

The Rock has natural charisma.

Most definately

Having said that, I wouldn't mind Thor saving Loki in a battle, and Loki saying something like "I thought you'd given up on me, brother?" with Thor responding, "I will never give up on you, I'm just done letting you walk over me".

Or something like that.

I'm just glad that Thor will FINALLY have a new set of main villains to interact with as opposed to being just stuck with primarily Loki. Everyone else have had their fair share of enemies to confront in their previous films before meeting Loki in "The Avengers", but we haven't really seen Thor having a main villain (Laufey doesn't count.lol) to deal with that wasn't Loki.

It actually should have a psychological effect on him. It should have an effect on all of The Avengers. Hopefully it strengthened his bond to earth, because not only now does he have a connection to Jane Foster, but also to a new group of people, and he knows earth is a lot more venerable than Asgard.

He was just saying Thor shouldn't be "shaken" up from the battle like Iron Man is in IM3's trailer.

Me either, I hope that means he goes all out during battle and attempts to seriously hurt the villains.

I don't want him to lose his humanity though. He's gentle at heart!

I don't see it having the same kind of effect as it does on Stark either. If anything he recognizes he's not alone in defending Earth. We'll see Thor's particular brand of post-Avengers "syndrome" in the other realms. Again the Bi-Frost is still down and Loki has both directly and indirectly put the other realms at risk, yet Thor can't be everywhere at once. Asgard is going to get stretched beyond thin.

Since Thor will be on Earth for some portions of his battle with the Dark Elves, I really do hope that they allow him to do some kind of big feat involving him saving a large group of civilians like how they're allowing Iron Man to have that experience in saving a group of passengers falling out of a plane in Iron Man 3 (which I think looks awesome).

Hell, if he were allowed to save a large scale bridge from collapsing from where he was at, that'd be great as well as it'd have to involve him using several of his powers in order to make that work.

Yeah they've been focusing more on the "warrior" aspect of Thor than the superhero aspect. I welcome a sequence where Thor directly saves citizens from immediate danger, especially something involving Thor doing some heavy lifting.

I agree. The invasion of the Earth by Loki's Chitauri army should change Thor's attitude towards his brother significantly. Thor is a warrior, not some pacifist who would want peace with his brother at any cost. He should take a hard line with Loki from here on out, realizing that his brother's sick need for revenge endangers not only Earth but also Asgard and the rest of the Nine Realms. Ideally, Thor (and Odin) will pay dearly for coddling Loki as they have even after his destructive treachery in Thor and The Avengers. Should the spoilers about Loki [BLACKOUT]betraying Asgard yet again and causing Frigga's death[/BLACKOUT] be true, I would love to see Thor and Odin turn their backs on Loki and treat him like the bitter enemy he is. They can all make up later, after Thanos extracts his pound of flesh from the trickster.

Speaking of which, it would be great if Thanos, seeking revenge on Loki for failing him, journeys to Asgard at the start of TA2 and lays waste to it. A brief, vicious invasion in which the Mad Titan blasts his way into Odin's vault, takes the Infinity Gauntlet, and then goes off to beat the ever-loving **** out of Loki would show the audience exactly how dangerous Thanos is to the heroes.

Have a Thortastic Valentines Day everybody! :)

Forgot the scans of the valentines lol

Shirtless Chris Hemsworth? Hela yeah. Now all we need are some good sexy shirtless images of Loki to be complete.

I'm ashamed to say that I've never noticed the golden apples in the table flip scene. I wonder if that means that they do eat them for longer life?

It's at least what the myth says. Care for one? :cwink:
