Gambit's X-Treme costume was lame to me. An all-black bodysuit under a trenchcoat? Wow, originality at its peak.

I preferred either the dark blue/black costume from his most recent series or the one with the big red bandana tied around his neck from when the X-Men all switched to those ugly costumes with X'es on the chest and scraps of armor all over.

His original costume's not horrible, though. If the pink part is drawn like body armor, I guess it's kinda sorta passable. Even though it's still pink.

I think the all black suits him better since he is supposed to be sneaking about, the magenta kinda screams "Look at me!" I did like the dark blue from his first ongoing right up 'til the end when the pants got too baggy. It didn't look as good.

Of course! It's something like Day of the Innocents or something, and it commemorates all the babies that were killed by Herod. Somehow that translates into trickery, because, HAHAHA, those babies sure pulled a fast one on Herod! He didn't get Jesus! We win!

Or maybe it was Herod who pulled a big trick on the population of Israel. HAHA! Got yo' babies!

Either way, there's a chilling morbidity to that sense of humor.
