Which WWE Superstar and Diva would you pit against in a Battle Of The Sexes match? I know who I'd pick, but I'll wait till I hear from ya'll.

Yeah Lesnar beating Taker OR Punk are awful ideas. Punk NEEDS a win over someone like Brock. Not a loss. Beating Punk does nothing for Brock.

Brock breaking the streak is just awful. Whats done with that? Nothing. Because Brock will be back on his farm the next night. At this point breaking the streak is a huge rub and its silly to give that to a guy who might end up leaving the company all together 6 months later when his contract is up.

If Brock stuck around 8 years ago maybe he could have been the guy to do it. But not now. Certainly not when his long term status is questionable and he could leave the company again on bad terms. Just too much of a gamble.

Punk vs Lesnar and a Ziggler face turn would get me watching again. I'm not bothered about Taker getting his win back as that whole mentality is the Triple H type thinking that means we are lumbered with his self serving rematch with Lesnar to begin with.

I think WWE see a Ziuggler as a potential HBK type face, a show stealing uber performer, something WWE doesn't have right now.

Agree on Bully Ray and Aries/Roode.

And Brooke is a Hogan. Of COURSE she can fake sincerity! :funny:

I know Ray isn't Brookes type but imagine if life imitated art. Their child would be a beast the likes of which the world hasn't seen since The Kraken.

Those 3 give me a reason to watch some pro-wrestling each week, Punk is my favourite wrestler but the show he is on is unbearable.

What else has she been faking! :D

:lmao: So mean, yet so true!

Are they REALLY that shocked? Really? It was so obvious what they were trying to do that I'd boo the feeble attempt too. Miz is no Flair. As a heel, face, talker, or wrestler in general. If they are going to use Flair to give someone the rub it should be Ziggler.

The Miz turning face is a classic case of change just for the sake of it, he is not a main event guy and he is not a face, he's a great mid-card heel, pretty much a role Christian has had for the bulk of his career and there's nothing wrong with that.

Which WWE Superstar and Diva would you pit against in a Battle Of The Sexes match? I know who I'd pick, but I'll wait till I hear from ya'll.

Kaitlyn is the obvious choice, as she's the only diva right now with the strength to compete against a male wrestler.

For male wrestler, I would go with Daniel Bryan. This isn't a slam against Bryan, but is due to his amazing ability. He's a cruiserweight that can wrestle a mat-style match, which will help cover up a diva's limitations, and I think by cooperating Kaitlyn could probably lift and drop Daniel safely.

And the promos by Daniel leading up to that match would be 10 kinds of awesome.

I myself would be interested in both of those ideas, but Lesnar would have to win at least one of these(imo, Lesnar can't continue with two matches this year after WM29 and lose both), so who would be the better option? Lesnar beating 'Taker or Lesnar beating Punk?

Lesnar vs Punk is the better option. Taker is pretty banged up and Lesnar's current style requires the opponent to be able to take stiff strikes as HHH and Cena did last year.

Punk would be able to handle it, and could deliver his own. If Cena could take Punk's knee strikes during their classic bouts, I'm sure Brock could too.

Make it happen...and then I may let WWE take my money for it.

- As noted, the January 14th episode of WWE RAW did a 3.19 rating with 4.54 million viewers. This was the biggest audience for RAW since the 1,000th episode on July 23rd, 2012.

In the segment breakdown, they opened strong with Vince McMahon, Big Show and Alberto Del Rio doing a 3.44 quarter rating. Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton lost 171,000 viewers, which is good considering how strong the opener was. Kane vs. Damien Sandow and the Mick Foley Hall of Fame announcement plus the brawl with The Shield, Sheamus, Ryback and Orton lost 497,000 viewers. Ryback's interview plus Kaitlyn vs. Eve Torres for the Divas Title gained 509,000 viewers at 9pm for a 3.33 quarter rating.

Brodus Clay vs. CM Punk lost 149,000 viewers. Punk's post-match interview, the video of past RAW car moments plus the backstage segment with The Rock, Foley and Vickie Guerrero gained 142,000 viewers. Sheamus vs. 3MB in a Over the Top Challenge plus a John Cena segment lost 202,000 viewers. MizTV with Ric Flair, The Miz and Antonio Cesaro gained 449,000 viewers at 10pm for the show's peak rating of 3.50.

Cody Rhodes vs. Daniel Bryan plus a backstage segment with AJ Lee, Big E Langston and Dolph Ziggler lost 752,000 viewers - which is likely to be among the biggest drops of this year. Cena vs. Ziggler in the steel cage match gained 118,000 viewers. The closing segment with The Rock's concert and the brawl with Punk gained 207,000 viewers for a 3.20 quarter rating. That gain is considered low for a RAW overrun.

- The January 10th WWE NXT tapings from Full Sail University drew a packed house of 400 fans with Shawn Michaels advertised in advance.

- Including live viewership and DVR viewership, WWE RAW averaged a 3.3 rating with 4.75 million viewers in 2012. SmackDown averaged a 2.1 rating with 3.04 million viewers. Main Event averaged a 0.8 rating with 1.38 million viewers while Saturday Morning Slam averaged a 0.7 rating with 1.14 million viewers in 2012.

- On a related note, the December 17th Slammys episode of RAW had 416,000 homes or 12.7% watching on DVR or tape delay - the largest in a long time. For the Christmas Eve RAW, they had 254,000 homes or 8.9% watching on delay.

- While WWE discussed a possible Evolution reunion for the 20th Anniversary of RAW on Monday, they never contacted Batista to appear. They also never contacted Chris Jericho. A lot of names were contacted to appear but were told later that the decision was made not to bring anyone back.

- We noted before how Kaitlyn vs. Eve Torres for the WWE Divas Title was going to take place at the Royal Rumble but it was moved up to this past Monday's RAW in Houston. Eve wanted her last night and Kaitlyn's Divas Title win to come in Houston because it's Kaitlyn's hometown.

- Since The Rock has returned, Brian Gewirtz is back into relevance. One source noted that Gewirtz was very happy to be part of things since he has still been on the payroll but not had any input. Gewirtz is The Rock's writer so he would be heavily involved in coming up with ideas for Rock's segments.

- Ric Flair is currently booked for the January 21st WWE RAW from San Jose, California and the January 22nd SmackDown tapings in Sacramento. The Rock is also booked for those two shows. Flair will leave for All Japan Pro Wrestling right after the SmackDown tapings.

Flair is still working on a per-night deal with WWE but could be signing something more solid soon. Believe it or not, TNA has sent feelers to Flair about coming back to their company and apparently they have been doing this since before their lawsuit against WWE was dropped this week.

Regarding Flair's segment with The Miz on Monday's RAW, it was designed to endorse Miz as a new babyface and to set up Miz using the Figure Four as his new finishing move. When he found out, Flair joked to Miz, "I hope they let you beat people with it because I never did."

Flair will likely be working with Miz again at next week's WWE TV tapings.

Pretty classy of Eve to put Kaitlyn over like that in her home town.

Two questions for everyone

1. Better group of tag teams: The Rock 'N' Wrestling Era or The Attitude Era?

2. What is your favorite type of specialty/gimmick match?

And I thought Barf's tail had a mind of ITS own. :wow: Man...she's got Eve beat. Sorry, Eve.

This rivalry needs to obe settled in an a** shakeoff: Eve Torres vs Brooke Tessmacher.

It would be better for Punk to end the streak , but that probably won't happen. Brock ending the streak and then feuding with Punk at Summerslam wouldn't be bad scenario. It's just going to be weird if Brock ends the streak and then he's not around for months. It kills the momentum.

From a pure technical perspective, it's Brooke. Eve's rumpshaka has a lot of pelvic thrust built into it, which is like two-footing a landing in figure skating, whereas Brooke's is more fundamentally sound.

1. The Rock "N" Wrestling era had better teams overall. I think the attitude era had a lot of jobber teams. The Headbangers , Smoking Gunns , and Godwins were kind of lame , imo. The only really good teams I can think of are Dudleys , New Age Outlaws , Hardys , and E&C. I'd count Foley and CHainsaw Charlie or Rock & Sock but they don't feel as legitiment for the small amout of time they were paired up. They split teams way too soon these days. I'm glad they are bringing it back though.

2. My favorite gimmick match is the 30 man rumble. It never gets old for me. Also I love TLC matches. The MITB matches are good , but it always feels like some people aren't used enough.

I'll take tag teams from the RnR-era over the Attitude Era, hands down and I'm a bigger Attitude Era mark than most. There are some good mid/late 90's squads, but I feel like the teams in the 80s stood out as a legit division and added more to the show.
Note: I edited out the names of specific duos because I was getting too wistful and excited. It was odd.

I always did like a good strap match, but you hardly see those done anymore. A cage match is probably my favorite of what's common today, but they've been ****ed out so much that it undercuts the value of what it's supposed to mean.

Also, I miss the War Games. :csad:

Just saw Raw. I thought it was a horrible show. This has got to be one of the worst milestone episodes they've done.

I may not agree with TNA giving Hardy the title to keep him around, but I will admit he's been representing that title well. He's been having great matches consistently.

And there's our next world champion.

Thank you, Bad Influence, for saving us from another boring Jeff Hardy promo...you guys are the best! 'Appreciate it!

You either have some experience or have already been thinking about this haven't you? :funny:

I think Brooke wins on precision and technique. Eves shake is more about flamboyance.

Jeez...we've broken ass shaking down to technical details and science. Is that good or bad? And should we call Bill Nye?

Put the names back! :argh: I wants to read them!

I agree...I'm far from a Hardy fan, but he has definitely been bringing the goods in the ring lately.

And I hope you're right...Daniels is in SUCH a zone right now...I'd love to see him get a run with the world title. I'm not holding my breath, but he really would be awesome as a cocky heel champ!
