Your dream movie!?

A successful live action Dragon Ball film series where the first would be more of them after the dragon balls and the world that surrounds them with Pilaf or the red ribon as villains, i think that as an adventure family film it would ressemble star wars in many ways, another thing is that it should be funny and fight scennes should be more like the matrix.

I envision a Dragon Ball trilogy:

1st movie--opens with King Piccolo and his lieutenants along with mass amounts of Piccolo-spawned beasts being whooped on by armies of mystics and monks. This shows the four sages trapping Piccolo in that jar. Two of them are Roshi and Gohan. Then the movie switches to present time, where the Red Ribbon are a major militant force that King Piccolo ends up seizing control of to search out the dragon balls.

2nd movie--Saiyan Saga

3rd movie--Freiza Saga, but with the Namekians being forced to wage a guerilla-style war against Freeza's troops and the Ginyu. It would be revealed here that Freiza supplied the Red Ribbon army with alien technology to assist in their search for the dragon balls. Then they would have been destroyed as a contingency plan to ensure no one could challenge Freiza once it possessed the Namekian dragonballs.

The dinosaurs would be retained, as would the talking animals. I came up with backstory for the animal-people: they were created early on by the Red Ribbon as bio-weapons. However they rebelled, peace talks led to them being recognized as citizens of the land, same as a regular human being.

Halo The Movie- Written and Directed by Peter Jackson and Neil Blompank (sp?)
Sometimes I hate District 9 was made................:csad:

I hate the fact that it implied our women would sex prawns. I feel demasculated.

Speaking of PJ,since LOTR came out I've been wanting him or Steven Spielberg to direct a new live-action Super Mario Bros!

A Doctor Who movie showing the time war.

Probably impossible to translate to film, but I'd love to see Sandman: Season of Mists.

I always thought that they should introduce mario first in a Donkey Kong movie

Or have something similar to the Donkey Kong incident play out with the ape escaping, then moving on with the Mario film's plot.

Halo, directed by Alfonso Cuaron.

I also want Peter Jackson's Temeraire and Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein to get off the ground.

- Pirates of Darkwater
- Mighty Max
- ReBoot
- Gargoyles (done like Avatar)
- a sequel to The Labyrinth
- a stop motion Enormous Crocodile ala Fantastic Mr Fox
- The Twits with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter as Mr and Mrs Twit

- Thundercats done in live action with the guys who did the Hellboy make up effects directed by someone like Alex Proyas, Francis Lawrence or David Twohy. Hugo Weaving as Mumm-Ra, Ving Rhames or Terry Crews as Panthro and John Leguizamo as Slithe.

The film would show the exodus from Thundera and their awakening from stasis on Third Earth, where Lion-O has physically aged 10 years due to stasis problems. The Mutants, a more savage race compared to the Cats, have followed them to Third Earth and accidentally awoken Mumm-Ra, an ancient priest who tried betraying his king and as punishment was mummified in the Black Pyramid where the Ancient Spirits of Evil granted him eternal life and power in return for his service. The 2nd half of the film would include minor battles with the Mutants, Lion-O's struggle over the death of Jaga, his aging and having to lead the Thundercats. And would build up to the big climatic battle at the Black Pyramid, where the Cats all take on the Mutants, leaving Lion-O to go on and take on Mumm-Ra.

- The Legend of Zelda: Hero of Time. A 2 part film based mostly around Ocarina of Time with Jamie Bell playing Link, who is currently old to enough to get away with playing a young Link aged around 17/18 and an older Link aged around 25. Dwayne Johnson (I think he could do it), Craig T Nelson, Jason Issacs or Mark Strong as Gannondorf. Alfonso Cuaron directing.

Link is a young lad, a social outcast in his village due to his pointy ears, who dreams of adventure. Whilst making the trip to Market Town he sees a girl under attack and tries to save her. It is Princess Zelda and guards come to her rescue but they both strike up a friendship. One day she tells Link about Ganondorf, who comes from the desert and is leader of the Gerudos. He visits the King of Hyrule under false pretenses of friendship but is secretly trying to find out where the Triforce is hidden.

The first film would primarily be the first third of OOT with Link tracking down the 3 stones to open the Temple of Time. The film would end with Link pulling the Master Sword from its plinth. The 2nd film would pick up with Link awakening from the Sacred Realm, having aged 7 years. Hyrule has changed with Ganondorf siezing power with the aid of the Triforce of Power he got when Link opened the Temple of Time. Link would use his friendships, forged in part one with Ruto and Darunia, to bring together the Zoras and Gorons with the remaining Hylians to do battle with Ganondorfs Gerudo army, rescue Zelda and defeat Ganondorf. It needs more tweaking and plotting out properly but I see that working as a base template for a Zelda film.

- Looney Tunes to the Rescue
An old black and white cartoon, bitter about been forgotten in the transition to colour and in particular the popularity of Bugs Bunny, kidnaps Bugs and threatens to have him 'rubbed out'. The Warner Brothers have animator Kyle Jones - grandson of Chuck Jones - (Zach Braff) team up with a small team of Toons - Daffy, Foghorn, Wyle E, Porky and Sylvestor (y'know, the funny ones) to search the Warner cartoon vaults and save Bugs.

- I'd like to see a superhero comedy with Ben Stiller as the billionaire playboy with the superhero alter ego (I can just imagine him doing the Bale Batman voice), Owen Wilson as his sidekick, Vince Vaughn as a crime boss and Will Ferrell as the villain.

- Another idea I thought would be funny was for something called The Rematch, about 2 guys who are watching their sons playing on rival football teams. After a confrontation with the ref over a ruling, they realise they are old enemies, having being football rivals in their youth and so a rematch is scheduled. About a third of the film would be about each guy going round and trying to track down the old members of their teams and running into complications such as one of them having given up football after a freak throw caused an accident which killed someone and one of them who goes around as a woman now.

One team would be headed by Ben Stiller and comprise his usual companions (Vaughn, Wilson etc) and the other team would be headed by Adam Sandler and have guys who are part of his 'pack' (Schnieder, Spade). Christopher Walken as the ref :awesome:

- John vs. The Underworld
This is my own idea for an action/adventure film similar to the 80's/Kurt Russell style of films - John sells his soul to save his dying wife. When the Reaper comes for his soul, he says he lied and had his fingers crossed. Lucifer, furious, takes his wife down to hell instead. John, a catholic, commits suicide and finds himself in Hell where he must battle with the Minotaur, Cerberus and the Hydra before finally confronting Lucifer to save his wife.

Lets call this one the Stephen King special...

The Stand (which is in the works) directed by Peter Jackson. Lord of the Rings was a big inspiration for King while he was writing the novel, so it would be wonderful if the film adaptation by Jackson was used as a template for bringing The Stand to the big screen, but it would be even better if they could get Jackson himself to direct and use his vision that brought LotR to life on The Stand.

It (also supposed to be happening) directed by JJ Abrams. The use of children as the main characters of Super 8 (though we have yet to see the end result of that) leads me to think that he could be a great candidate to do It, which focus on both the children and adult versions of the same characters.

Salem's Lot directed by Matt Reeves. King called Let Me In the best horror film of the decade. I think he would be pleased to see Reeves take the reigns of this adaptation (and hopefully the third time would be the charm).

A Friday The 13th movie with actual characters.

Give me a movie directed by Christopher Nolan, starring:

Matt Damon
Natalie Portman
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Forest Whitaker
Adrien Brody
Helen Mirren
... and Michael Caine

And title it... Heaven.

So..... basically Halloween?
I didn't really care for the characters from Halloween.

What I'm talking about is a Friday The 13th movie, with the same kind of ridiculous storyline as seen from New Blood, with characters who feel genuine and who actually do have a heart and soul; who are not only there to either be naked, run fast, be a donkey, or look pretty. I want to see a slasher movie pull a Pixar and make us actually care for the characters while being on the edge of our seats.

A movie that comes to mind is The Descent, which worked in being the first (and only) movie that made me turn off the DVD player and watch Spongebob on YTV to get rid of the sense of fear that ran through me; this was during the day, too. To this day, I still think that The Descent (the "Original Uncut" version) is the best horror movie of all-time because it effectively develops characters with actual motives and arcs. Friday The 13th films don't have that. Slasher films generally don't have that.

Instead of making us cheer for Jason, make us cheer for the characters that we should immediately relate to from the get-go and have fun in the killing of the characters but make it scary when the ones that we care about bite the dust.

The slasher genre is slowly, but surely, beginning to fade away; thanks to such torture porn trash like Hostel. The only way to revive a genre is to make something fresh of it. Let's cut the cliches, or most of them, and make a genuinely original slasher movie. If not, let's make a genuinely original Friday The 13th movie.

With Morgan Freeman narrating?...

Young Indiana Jones movies
Star Wars with Ben and Anakin between TPM and AOTC.

A Green Hornet movie with a serious actor.

An Elektra movie with a good script.

A Catwoman movie based on the authentic character.

A Batgirl movie.

A "talkie" of The Phantom of the Opera.

A movie of The Darkness.

A movie based on the "Chronicles of the Last Emperor of Melnibone" by Moorcock. Amazing collection of stories.

I'd start the movie off with Elric and the pirates attacking Melnibone, then use flashbacks to tale the story of his wonderings and end with Cymoril's death. A trilogy ending with Stormbringer would be epic.
