Your favourite acting performances?

Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood.

I'm not a huge fan of the movie as a whole but damn was his acting captivating.

Amazing performance.

Ahead of his time.
Yes, indeed. And I thought it was genius on Hitch's part to cast a sort of teen heartthrob, Perkins, as Norman, where in the book he is closer to a "Rod Steiger" type. Come to think of it, kind of a little bit what Nolan did with Heath Ledger.

And speaking about great acting performances, Rod Steiger in In the Heat of the Night.

Viggo in The Road. Didn't care for the movie that much though.

Fredric March in Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Christoph Waltz as Hans Landa in Inglorious Basterds. Probably one of the best acting performances I've ever seen.

Melanie Laurant as Shosanna Dreyfus in Inglorious Basterds.

Michael Fassbender as Lt Archie Hicox in Inglorious Basterds.

Speaking of Fassbender his performance in Hunger was superb.

Anton Yelchin in Terminator: Salvation.

Probably the best thing about the movie and easily the most only likable character.
