Haha, it was Captain Marvel who tossed the Helmet. I don't think it would have gone quite so far if Detective Chimp had done it. :D

They're bringing back the android Hourman eventually :D
I doubt they will, unfortunately. When he "died" Rex was going to start work on rebuilding him. Rex originally had him built in the future, with lots of technology and geniuses at his disposal. Now he's trying to make a go of it all by himself. I doubt he'll ever rebuild Tyler. :(

Lol, my bad. But DC tried to put it on that would be a funny elseworld "Detective Chimp is Doctor Fate"

They did say it should take about a year to rebuild him, and with OYL. It would be a perfect time to reintroduce him.

Really, he said it would take a year? That's pretty optimistic. I gotta look back at those issues and see why he estimated such a short time.

A perfect tie between Nelson and Hall. Interesting. Anyway, I don't actually ever want Hec to return to the superhero game. I love the character, but his and Lyta's retirement was nicely done, and after all the **** they went through, they really deserved it.

Rick though, yeah, I want him back on the team. Maybe he's going to get all depressed over the fact that this basically means Infinity, Inc. has been murdered, since there's only him, Al (who's in jail or working for Waller) and Obsidian (who's doing his own thing).

Well, Rick had his own little stint as a misguided villain in the android Hourman's series. It was pretty weird to see him all angry and hopped up on Miraclo.

That's when he had Lukemia right? And he was still wearing that god-awful purple costume.

It wasn't leukemia, it was some disease his Miraclo addiction brought on. And yes, he still had the crappy purple costume.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it was leukemia, and that's what Wikipedia says (although I wrote the Rick Tyler page partially). The purple costume wasn't that horrid, by the way.

I thought it was pretty bad. I remember there being more to the disease than just leukemia, though, because Hourman himself couldn't even cure it. Amazo had to do it while posing as the future Hourman.

Kent, easily. Although I liked Hector as Fate and I felt that killing him and Lyta was a stupid move.

Lyta deserved a much worse fate than what she got.

Well, it would obviously be Miraclo-induced leukemia. In the end, what matters is, he's got a good costume now, and I want him back.

Although I agree that killing Hec and Lyta was stupid, I thought it was just done so well that I couldn't bring myself to hate it.

I just went back and checked it, the Doctors said it was lukemia but it turned out to be a miraclo induced desease that was uncurable until Hourmazo showed up.

Nabu, just because I was never really a fan of Hector and Nabu was really cool at the end. I haven't really read anything of Kent Nelson.

The best Fate is Kent Nelson but my favorite is Hector Hall

Actually, the most powerful Fate in canon is Hector Hall. The combination of Chaos and Order he represented was supposedly the perfect vessel for unlocking the full power of Dr. Fate.

Uhm, I've read Sandman. Heck, I've pretty much read all of Lyta Hall's appearances, with the exception of a few. I know what she did. I know what she did was during a bout of insanity, induced by the fact that her son had been kidnapped. I'm not going to hate her for that.

Insanity or not... she got off easy compared to the person who killed Despair.

I'll give you that, but again, not her fault. Dream decided to spare her.
