Out of all the trailers and footage released so far, whether that be official or unofficial ones, internet or theatrical trailers, which one do you think has made the biggest impact on you as a viewer.

I have a list of some of the major ones here not counting international trailers but there is an 'other' section of the poll if you wish to vote

All Of Them...especially the last quick part of the 7 minute NBC footage, that showed giant Sandman.

I've enjoyed everything, but if I had to pick I'd say the 7 minute clip, simply because its showing an actual scene. It gives a precursor of the overall film; how its paced and how the action and characterization are being presented. And based on that clip I can say I'm really happy with the handling.

Comic Con footage. I only saw the blurry CAM recording, and I know some special effects were not finished, but it's the best imo. I hope they will release it someday on a DVD, but I doubt it. Terminator 3 also had a Comic Con trailer with unfinished special effects, and it has never been released. :-(


I don't see the 7 minute clip as a trailer. It's just something like a press kit, some long scenes (most likely edited and shortened), but it's not something like a trailer.

I would say the newest trailer but with the 7 minute clip right behind it.

The Comic-Con Trailer.

All of them are great, but the blurry craptastical recording of the trailer they showed at Comic-Con got me WAY beyond excited...not only because of the final Venom shot, but because it was such a great trailer, with great music. I remember watching it and thinking...WOW...Raimi and Co. are absolutely fabulous.

Comic-Con '06 was one of the best times EVER on these boards.

I voted comic con -- although not my favourite clip, I think it did have the most impact on me because at that time news on the film was scarce and it made my imagination run wild with the possibilities of what may be. Sometimes less is more.

The first teaser was the most suspensful and forboding, the second best was the 1st theatrical, then the comic con, then the 300 trailer, then the final trailer.

At least imo.

I think the first teaser had the most impact on me. The comic con footage also got me excited, mainly because it was so blurry and it made wonder what the hell was going on. After seeing it again I can't help but wonder why they didn't use that music for the latest trailer. It would have made it so much better IMO.

The leaked/Comic-Con trailer left me in suspense

the final trailer was the best and that's what I voted for because it showed alot of new scenes and action. it also showed awesome new glimpses of Venom. the 7-minute clip was awesome as well.

The one that had the biggest impact on me was the first teaser trailer because of the build up at the beginning... and that very first shot as spidey in the black suit, I think that shot sold it for a lot of spidey fans who were hating the idea

than there was eddie saying 'parker' which i thought was a great line because at the time i thought it was his first communication with the symbiote passing along secrets and he seemed somewhat enlightened

and parker ripping off his costume similar to source material was all good and dandy

than FINALLY it was that end shot of spidey hanging upside down, i think i actually cried. One of the best single shots ever, just like the cartoon, AMAZING. I think its so good, it's probably the only shot used in every single trailer up to this point and sony know it. It's a shame its oversaturated though, i feel its lost its impact appeal.


2nd leaked trailer just after the first official trailer is my favourite one, although unfinished it showed all the important story elements without going silly on venom (first mouth open design was better) and realistically that's all you needed to see of him while still keeping the important aspect of spidey wanting vengeance on the sandman intact. It also didn't reveal harry's role as coming across as minor as the following 7min release and final trailer have or spoil his now apparent death.

that should have been the last trailer.

heck, that teaser and trailer would have been more than enough

not much love for the 300 one or the final one.

7 min cliip was good but it wasn't necessary to sell this film, shame i won't get to experience it first hand on a big screen.

I vote the last trailer because it's the most interesting-looking of all. It touches on a bit of everything involved with this movie BUT more importantly, I feel that it shows enough to get people pumped and competes with the rest of the summer movies. Come on, we saw harry, sandman and venom (who stole the show of the trailer). Seeing brock transform, beat the crap out of spidey and them yank him out of the screen is enough to get people talking about something.

The only bad thing about the trailer is that, it felt rushly put together and was easily the worst edited of all the clips but I still rate it as the best.

P.S. I don't give a toss about the music/score it sounds absoloutly fine to me and it's also the least of my worries regarding this film.

interesting. i rate the trailers on how they are put together. some of you here are rating the trailers depending of what footage is in there.


i bet if a new trailer with a naked kirsten would be realesed they would say that it was the best trailer even if would be 5 seconds long.

unfortunately until the film is released, i guess this is going to be the general trend with people voting on the new scenes that salivate them the most.

Couldn't agree more. The final trailer just didn't really affect me as much as the earlier ones. I would have liked to have seen a lot less of Venom. Like you said that one shot of him leaping towards the camera was all they needed to show. Less is more.

I voted for the final trailer because it just had the best footage we've seen yet. If we had a clear or HD version of the Comic-Con trailer, then I definately would have voted for that.
