Does this mean you're going to tell us about the Twinkie? :p

I've managed to accomplish pretty much nothing today. :p

Sometimes I lay in bed thinking that same thing "What have you accomplished in life?" And the answer is... nadda! zilch!

Even that, I've had the same basic one pretty much since the beginning. I can't be bothered to change it. I'm sure you guy's would look at me differently if I did.

Right there with ya.

The same avatar has been just fine for me all this time. :)

Okay Loungers, question time...

What toy did a friend of yours have when you were kids that you didn't but you desperately wished that you did?

That's easy - RC Cars to drive around in. My friend had two. TWO.

My cousin had the 1990 Technodrome from TMNT. I remember playing with it some, but never owned one. He also had a turtle van. I just had figures.

I was spoiled until I was 10 or so, so I'm sure I had some Lego sets or something else he was envious of.

First World Problems...
The only gaming consoles I owned were portable

flick dreamed of being a hot rod mama.

Wait... Drive around in? Do you mean miniature radioa control cars or those battery powered kid sized four wheelers you could sit inside?

Those big playsets were always the big status symbol. Like it's cool if you had the figures but if your buddy had the full playset you knew he was dominating play time.

They're all portable if you put em' in a suitcase. :o

Optimus Prime and Hot Rod.

I too knew the shame of not having those two. Actually the Hot Rod Transformer was one of the better toys from that period in the line. My best friend in parochial school had both that and the Rodimus Prime toy. The Hot Rod one was just all around Of higher quality.

The latter. Tell me why any kid needs two of those. WHY? :(

This is still an open wound I see.

Well I guess I was living large. I had a foot powered West show Batmobile and a Spider-Man big wheel. And a CHiPs big wheel with working syren and voice amplifier. I was a mini Jay Leno I suppose.

I want to specify I meant mini Jay Leno in a metaphorical sense not like the Tiny Jay Leno that Conan had on during his Late Night tenure.

oh shut up krypton... Leno could never rock a fedora

Johnny West action figure. He was like the 12" G.I.Joe....but a cowboy. Plus his rubber hands held on to his guns way better than Joe's did.

What's the toy you wanted but didn't have that a friend did?

For me it was the Tranformers version of the Robotech Valkyrie sold under the name Jet Fire, though oddly the character on the TV show was called Sky Fire.

Regardless of the name it was a masterful toy with a lot of detail and articulation. I burned with envy for it. I had not one but two friends that owned them. Lucky SOBs.

Did he precede GI JOE's original version from the 60's?

Also have you checked out TOYS THAT MADE US on Netflix? Some really interesting stuff about some of the biggest names in toys of the last fifty years.

is a computer considered a toy?

if not... then super soaker water guns... my mom wouldnt allow me to have one cause some jackass put bleach water in one of them.... ****ed up.
