I never played the game that RAMPAGE is based on, so what I think about it has nothing to with whether it is a good homage to the game or not. For me.....it was a fun giant monster rampaging through the city movie. I didn't go in expecting Oscar caliber acting, writing, or drama. I wanted giant animals fighting and destroying things.....and that's what I got.

EQUALIZER 2 was great. Very good action and drama. I recommend everyone go see it to support good film makers.

All those games are about is the player controls monsters to destroy buildings in different cities around the world, and then space. No plot that needed faithful adaption of.

I hope E2 makes enough to get a third film. Love the character,and while this sequel doesn't have an antagonist to match Denzel the way the first one did the story as it plays out makes it more personal and not just a rehash of the first film,even if of course it still had the great episodic element of McCall helping various people.

Also I like that an action film can be done well without it having to be a giant, end of the world story with massive SFX everywhere.
