Your Ten Fave. Childhood Cartoons

I won't count the Simpsons even though it came out when I was an child(it's still on and was always more adult themed but it be number 2 if I counted it) and South Park didn't start until I was well into my teens(and it'd ne number 4 or 5) so...

1. Batman the animated series
2. The Real Ghostbusters
3. X-men
4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
5. Ducktales
6. Spider-man
7. Gargoyles
8. Animaniacs
9. The Transformers
10.Darkwing Duck

Also of note, Mighty Morphin Power rangers was HUGE for me and it'd be number 5 but it's not an cartoon. And like someone else said earlier, I could go on and on and ON(I also loved: Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Tiny Toons, Doug, Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats, C.O.P.S., Thundercats, filmation's Ghostbusters, Looney Tunes AND MANY MORE).

Way too many to pick just 10, but I tried. I also divided them into two categories:
Classic Cartoons
He-Man
Ghostbusters (Filmation)
Silverhawks
Bravestar
Jaycee and the Wheel Warriors
Chip 'N Dale's Rescue Rangers
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

'Modern' Cartoons
Spider-Man: The Animated Series
Batman: The Animated Series
Digimon (Seasons 1 and 2 only)

great tune!

Wow...how the heck could I forget The Flintstones AND The Jetsons!

I think I forgot about 'em because my post included cartoons I watched in the 80s.. that were made in the 80s. Mostly.

There were a bunch of great cartoons in the 80's! (Although, I may be a little baised in saying that. I am an 80's kid, afterall. :cwink:)

The Pink Panther cartoon was awesome.

Also the 80's Hulk animated series - they have it available on Amazon.com...UK :cmad: so it's Region 2, but it's not available in the U.S... It's pretty ridiculous that an American made show is only available in the U.K but not in American. :cmad:

I've watched about 3-4 Muppet Babies shows this morning on youtube....wow it's still great.

I even made my avvy from it :woot:

thanks to DarbyD53 for the reminder  :oldrazz:

Yeah, that really ticks me off. The 80s Hulk was a great cartoon too.

I couldn't find a proper Aquaman cartoon intro (only funny fakes :funny:)--otherwise, I'd post that too

One question: Am I the ONLY person who remembers Bravestar, Filmation's Ghostbusters, and Jaycee and the Wheel Warriors? It doesn't matter if I am, but I'm curious to know.

No, you're not the only one. I used to watch the Filmation Ghostbusters from time to time.

You obviously didn't check previous pages of this thread

^ Apparently, I DID miss your posted intro for Jaycee and the Wheel Warriors, Aeghast. Sorry. :)

Is Bravestar, the one where the indian sheriff dude can call upon the eyes of a hawk, speed of something and power of like a bear? lol...I use to watch a show all the time like that.

I did forget about Filmation's Ghostbusters though.. :o

Here's a question for the experts: what was the name of that cartoon with this guy, a super-hero, whose pet had a dog house for a head (!) and could get anything from it.. can't remember the name of it but I sure watched that one as a kid

That was a sub-character on The Plastic Man show. Black Vulcan knows the name for sure since he openly loves that show.

That's the one. His powers were 'Eyes of the hawk', 'Ears of the wolf', 'Strength of the bear', and 'Speed of the puma'.

I remember there was a cartoon involving dinosaurs and humans that I used to watch was a kid, but don't know what it was called. Anybody recognize the description?

You must be talking about this awesome cartoon. The toys were so much fun back in the day

Exo Squad anyone ?

or King Arthur and the Knights of Justice

I don't ever remember Dino Riders being a cartoon... only a toy line. And this would've been in the mid to late 80s, and I don't remember the DR toys becoming popular until the late 80s to early 90s.

Edit: I guess I was wrong about DR being a cartoon, but this wasn't what I was thinking of. It was somewhat similar in its structure to Voltron and the live-action Power Rangers series that came later, but had dinosaurs and humans in it.
