Age of Ultron Your worries/concerns with Age of Ultron

With a hug?

Or Vision phasing his hand thru him would be ok by me.

A lot of these concerns can be summed up as Stark being the clear main character again. From the looks of the trailers and storyline this seems to be the case and a lot of characters may get shorted a second go round.

unfortunately

I'm concerned that I will love Pietro too much in this movie so much so that I'll never be able to meet a guy who can match him

How about Stark creates a virus, that Vision phases into Ultron and then Thor and Hulk rampage on his body.

One fear is that Cap or Widow will pick up Mjolnir, I want Cap to do it in IW if he has to do it all. And I don't want Widow to do it, however that 'that's not something i need to know' she said whilst smirking makes me think she is gonna do it.
My god I didn't even think of that, if Widow lift's Mjolnir that would literally ruin the whole movie. This would usually be a silly speculation but knowing Whedon for being a blind feminist it could bloody happen.

I just hope Whedon's intelligence trumps his political agendas here.

The last rumor I heard was that Ultron's invulnerable shell makes it very difficult to stop. So thor and hulk have no effect. So Wanda uses her hexes to rearrange Ultron's components long enough to create a small opening for hawkeye to fire whatever virus stark comes up with. Vision is the one that keeps him distracted and lifts Mjlonir to finish him off after the arrow. Kind of like a last stand type thing.

Sounds like something whedon would come up with. Could very well just be false:shr:

Yeah I wouldn't of thought anything of it, then a friend said did you notice BW smiled when she said she didn't want to lift it, I watched it again and was just like 'oh no Joss you better not do this'

My hope is that Joss being a feminist wouldn't want his female character to be strong because she used a male characters powers. Which is how it should be, have Widow do awesome things but not because she picked up Mjolnir. And if Widow can pick it up then literally everyone could, not that I think it has solely to do with worthiness anyway.

Well my thinking is that the virus would somehow weaken his body and break him down a bit allowing for Thor and Hulk to tear him apart. But it literally could be any combination of them taking him down, as long as it isn't just one of them doing something.

I hope this doesn't happen. Widow is basically a reformed serial killer (including innocent children) who should never be worthy of lifting Mjolnir. This and a romance with Banner would ruin the movie for me as well.

For the battle with Ultron, I like the idea of SW using her powers to weaken Ultron's outer shell at the molecular level, followed by Vision using his powers to weaken it further. The final, killer blow could be from Hulk or Thor.

If a Widow Banner romance would ruin the movie for you, I wouldn't bother seeing it, cos that is pretty much confirmed.

Aw shucks, wouldn't ruin the movie for me, but I kinda prefer the idea of Black Widow with Hawkeye. They seem more suited? Natasha and Banner sounds weird to me. They didn't get along much in TA, while she and Clint seemed to have an implicit and intimate (not necessarily romantic) camaraderie that I liked seeing.

1) I find Ultron's face to be of great concern. Personally, I find the mouth and eyes come off more as goofy and cartoonish than menacing. Here's to hoping the look translates better to the big screen than it does in trailers. Just my $0.02.

2) This concern started with The Winter Soldier and carried into Agents of Shield - the direction of character costumes in the MCU is trending too far to the generic. MCU Hydra is just look like standard soldiers/mercs, S.h.i.e.l.d. agents wear business suits (for the most part), and Scarlet Witch is dressed like she came straight from a department store. I get that a lot of the comic outfits (jumpsuits and bikinis) won't translate well but can we get some kind of uniform for S.H.I.E.L.D. (if they come back) and Hydra. At least coordinated colors. This is a comic book movie. Not Homeland.

3) Forced romances. I get that relationships can make for a more compelling story but pairing off EVERY member of the Avengers with another member or a close associate of the group seems unneccessary. Banner and Widow came out of nowhere. Rogers and Hill have no previous onscreen or comicbook basis, and even Stark and Potts relationship was a Hollywood shoehorn*

*Yes, I realize that Potts and Stark became an item (briefly) in the comics. That pairing didn't happen until 2008/2009 and was incorporated because of the first film. Like a black Nick Fury being awkwardly shoehorned into the 616 (mainstream Marvel comics), the retroactive fitting of movie elements into comic lore is a huge concern and the transitioning elements never really fit.

Iron Man is one of my favorite characters, both in the comics and on screen, but he is really becoming the Wolverine of the MCU. Sometimes less is more.

Careful with that wording. I think you mean that you hope his respect for source material and established canon trumps his political agendas. Not that I'm disagreeing with you at all - this is a concern of mine as well.

technically it isnt all that confirmed. THey were saying the exact same thing about Widow and Steve's closeness and how there "relationship" develops and grows in the Winter Soldier film. Turns out it was simply platonic, which is exactly what I see happening here.

Rogers and Hill, wait what? I guess I haven't been keeping that close an eye on AoU rumors/news, but is that confirmed? Rogers and Hill, and Banner and Widow, these pairings sound out of nowhere, as you put it. Oh well, not that I'd mind terribly. Just I agree it seems unnecessary.

Ah I hadn't thought of that, that seems plausible. I hope you're right :woot:
Speaking of Natasha and Steve, I'd like to see the relationship and trust they developed in TWS carry over to AoU.

It could be platonic, I don't think it is going to be really romantic and they are going to be dating or anything but ruffalo was asked if Banner and Widow had a romance, and apparently he looked nervously at his PR guy, then said 'well banner is trying to live a normal life and romance is apart of that'

Appropriately vague. Lol.

Worries/concerns for Age of Ultron?.. Well, ah, hmm, uhm... Nope. I have none.

I agree. Ruffalo's latest interview states that their 'relationship deepens' which could be exactly the same as what happened between Cap and Widow in TWS. Also would Marvel allow Ruffalo to discuss this so much if its true? Surely this would be a major spoiler and Marvel have done well at keeping things secret (we didn't know Claudia Kims characters name until recently). I also think its to big a risk as so many fans dislike the idea and lots of people like Widow with Hawkeye (or Steve).

I have seen the Steve/Hill rumour and think its linked to claims she's wearing his jacket at the party scene? If there is any romance between these two I think it raises the likelihood of Hill dying in the movie to hurt Steve and contribute to his fall out with Stark.

The only thing that's given me any real concern so far is the army of drones thing

I really, really, REALLY don't want to see the Avengers take on another faceless army

and I try not to dwell on pure rumors, but yeah, some of the possible romances sound silly
and if at any point Widow picks up Mjolnir (as speculated above, and it occurred to me watching the trailer as well), I will s**t, then I'll collect said s**t, and I will send it to Joss in the mail.
but ya know, don't wanna get worked up over speculation :P

:woot::woot::woot: Had a bad day at work and this has made me smile!

Personally, I don't think I can get enough of Iron Man, but that's just me. Maybe I'm simple. :funny: That being said, I want a better balance between each one's screen time. I want to see them all shine. And I don't mind Wolverine in the X-men movies as well, even though my favorite mutant (Storm) is getting the short end of the stick big times and I can't say I've been pleased AT ALL of how she's been portrayed in the movies but oh well... Looking forward to Apocalypse.
