@idiot09 my man im so happy to see you post again. I swear i was thinking of tagging you in a post this morning to get your attention. I remember chattin with you when that first “come together” trailer dropped and we were geekin out over how badass the movie looked.

I’m still keeping myself in check until i see the official headline but it seems like we’re finally getting it.

Wassup Kguillou. Good to see you man. I remember those 'HYPE' days. Man we were so excited. I think a trailer drop tomorrow will match/outdo that tho. So giddy.

No need to keep expectations in check bro. This poster was spotted in Hollywood today. And JL theatrical cut is not part of the HBO MAX library. So booyah.

Haha I saw that. Was cool to see Mark Twight in there showing support too.

In even greater news though, this mofo @idiot09 has made his return!! My oh my it’s good to hear from you buddy.

Damn its good to talk to you again brother. How's it all going. What a day huh.

Iddiooot! Awesome to see you my man. #ComeTogetherRightNow....

Tra-El mah man. Imagine all the new Superman scenes. And his final fight scenes with Steppy which was described by Jay Oliva as insane? Cant wait to see HC as Superman again.

Welcome back, @idiot09 !

Sup flickchick. Good to see you round. Hopefully will see some banter between you and BN soon :D

Now Snyder has no choice but to reveal this thing tomorrow, this thing got idiot to come back

CHIP! Man I hope you enjoy this movie as well. We DC fans have little to look forward to these days. This hopefully will bring us all together.

Not to get too greedy but I hope that there are home video release plans in the works too. I’ll happily take the streaming option for now but i want to own this. I’ll happily pay premium price for a special edition steelbook and I’m betting im not alone in that.

I think you’re overestimating it. It will get plenty of eyes sure but those eyes will be fans, general audiences outside of a minority are not even really gonna care because to them it’s just an alternate version of JL. I highly doubt much of the general audience will even be bothered. They’ll likely see the posters and just assume it’s JL anyway.

The film in order to get sequels needs to make plenty of $$$$ and it’s not been put into a position to allow it to really do that. Sure they might get a ton of subscribers to HBO Max but that won’t all be attributed to the SC.

They aren't going to go by money but by views and by engagement online. The streaming services look at different factors than movie studios do.

You took this right out of my head. I want a damn Steelbook as well. It needs to be put in some type of package to own.

It's why so many people cancelled their Disney+ after the last episode of Mandalorian aired.

A truly successful streaming service will have either or combo of a huge library, or constant shows that will force streamers to hold on to their subscription year round.

Exactly. Once The Mandalorian ended, I canceled. Same with DC streaming. Having only 1 show at a time, coming out weekly, is not enough. You have to be akin to Netflix or Amazon Prime where you have new shows and a varietous back catalog (and I just made up a work and I'm sticking with it).

The billboard going up in LA is just even more proof of this thing happening

you don’t advertise something that you previously wanted everyone to forget about (theatrical cut), it’s only a matter of time now.

On the other hand though, advertising a movie that doesn't actually exist is sorta their modus operandi. :o

Nail on the head here. The streaming model just hasn't figured out how to make the money that these large scale productions make in the theater. I'm sure as the landscape changes over time, this may get figured out. Eventually. Someday. But that day certainly is not now or anytime soon. Spending 500 mil on finishing sequels to a movie that lost money just makes no sense.

I think what some (like Netflix and Amazon) have figured out is brand recognition and loyalty. So people will just continue to pay for Netflix because something is always available, it's easy to navigate, and it's familiar. The one show at a time approach of Disney+ and DC Universe is not enough.

I think of it like Planet Fitness. People will pay for the membership even for months that they might not use it because they know it's always there if they use it. But Planet Fitness is still getting that money regardless. That's the approach HBO Max is probably taking. Spend a ton of money on Friends in the short term, but know that people will watch that now and 6 months from now and 2 years from now, etc, and they've made the money back on all those months of subscription.

Seeing this billbaord... Forgot Ray's Cyborg exists lol

I gotta imagine the peeps over at Variety, HR, etc are hitting up their sources as we speak like “dude remember when you told me to report that WB said this movie was dead....are you SURE about that?”

One of the best things about this dropping at HBO MAX is there wouldnt be any Box office/RT drama.

What are you guys most anticipated scenes?

Mine is the roundtable scene where they discuss Superman.

History lesson.

If I'm not getting my hopes up, Cyborg's scenes and the uncut History Lesson scene (Darkseid or no Darkseid).

Hey everyone. Long time.

I'm honestly lost for words here. For us fans of Snyder's work in the DCEU, the culmination of his first two movies was taken away from us. The first proper live action Justice League movie was taken from us. We were told Snyder's vision for this movie, didnt even exist. That it was bad. That its over. That we will never see it. That we should move on. That our voice doesnt count. That no one really wants to see this movie, and it didnt matter anymore.

Something we have waited for years. History is being written. Its finally here. Redemption.

I'm so excited to finally see the sequel for BvS. I dont care for any future installments, because Snyder has basically revealed the plot for that. I think most of us just wanted the movie we were promised. And we will finally get that. And Snyder seems to be making tweaks to make it more inline with his OG vision(black suit, additional photography etc). I'm most excited for the Batman and Superman scenes, and also the original visual look and score. Also Greenlantern(shout out to my boi Kal), Martian Manhunter and ofc, Darkseid.

Also shoutout to the haterz(Ben Fritz wassup fam) who dissed the Snyder Cut movement:

This is exactly how I'm feeling right now, after years of ceaseless whining from people about how much they hated Snyder's work, after years of the movies and anyone who liked them getting mocked, any attempts to vocalize that we just wanted to see the movie as Snyder intended resulting in us being laughed at and everyone who supported it getting labelled as trolls by people with zero self awareness of their own trollish behavior, to the point where I'd just given up on it and went out of my way to avoid these sub-forums because of how hostile they are to the fans of these movies, it is so damn satisfying that we seem to actually be getting what we wanted.

So many, but my most anticipated is Superman’s entrance in the third act. I know in my heart Zack had him sonic boom in epic fashion to woop Steppenwolf’s ass. Zimmer music and all.

Clark retrieving his suit (still hoping that it's red and blue) from the scout ship and having his flight 2.0 sequence.

They did say in their launch announcement that HBO Max will include "every Batman and Superman movie from the last 40 years." Just, apparently, not on launch day. Probably have to wait for existing licensing deals to expire, like with the MCU films and Disney+.

I think people need to slow down a bit here. Nothing has been confirmed. Imagine another disappointment.

Just wait until an official announcement and then celebrate.
