Well I can definitely say that the cut is officially announced, only for it to be later revealed that Snyder is going to alter Superman's costume so that it appears all black for the entire film then my original level of excitement will go down a notch.

That said, I can't see this film being received worse than the theatrical version since that film was plagued for several reasons.

Fans indeed should have tempered expectations in regards to it. If it's actually released and some fans go into it expecting this holy bible of comic book movies, they're bound to be disappointed.

Idk why people were so adamant that Zack Snyder didn’t have a version of the film that he made. He filmed the thing, showed it to WB and they got rid of him after seeing it. There’s a cut.

I’m even more interested in reading David Goyer’s BvS script that made Ben Affleck go to WB and throw that thing out in favor of a rewrite by his pal Chris Terrio.

I remember giving Goyer a lot of flack for some of the stuff that went down in MOS and was over the moon when he was no longer writing the sequel. Funny how things change.

Oh believe me, The discussions about goyer post-MOS were intense on here, lol. I think I speak for everyone when I say that despite all of us being disappointed that the movie got delayed a year, we were all celebrating when we found out the script was getting a full rewrite from someone else

I think it's a grey area where a 80-90% finished film is "finished" for some and "does not exist" for some.

I am glad those who used ZS's family event to cover for themselves in order to get their bonuses are not having their way now.
