I respect all of this, but keeping it 100, If this was the Fast n Furious type family, he'd be Judas.

:o

Mostly just joking about everything. What a goddamn wild rollercoaster this has been.

It's pretty WILD man. So many emotions over a 3 year period. That's a ton of downs (and a lack of ups lol). We all stayed within this JL board throughout the entire time, never leaving and keeping it alive. That's respect there!

I do wonder how long ZS needs to finish the film, that last 10% touch up probably would not take another 10 months, especially he's so quick at his post-productions.

Then we have to consider his zombie project's progress, if he's still doing any reshoots, is he editing it into episodes, and the timing of the release.

We're 6 months out from the 4th anniversary of JL, that might be what they're aiming for, negotiation since Nov 2019, "audition" Feb, green light and more negotiation and ready for announcement and promotion till release during post production?

Stephen was saying how ZSJL is the only way to save Cavill, he was ridiculed, now ZSJL's pretty much a done deal and rumors of WB/Cavill talking again is interesting timing. @DS80 have you heard anything with Henry since Nov last year?

Not me brother. When Ben Affleck was a deer in the headlights starring off into outer space, it was Henry carrying the weight of the press tours. When Ben was all "Goddammit all I hear is Batman, Batman, Batman.." and getting annoyed with the character, Henry was talking about how badly he wanted to continue the character and still talks publicly about his love for Superman, the comics and his mythology. I'll always love him for that. Christopher Reeve is penned in as every man's Superman. Henry is mine.

Nah. Affleck had a mental health issue and his previous fame and fortune as factors. Cavill wasn't being gracious or passionate. He's a mixture of desperate and greedy.

I resisted commenting on that earlier but I agree. They are hardly at the same point in their career. Ben has gone through this whole media frenzy, movie backlash etc. Henry has had one breakout role, two if you count Fallout. Let’s talk when he’s had several big movies under his belt.

Yes because we know Henry Cavill didn't have any pressure on his shoulders.

Well at least one of Bat and Sup held up the interviews, would have been worse when both Batman and Superman stared blank at the interviewer lol

to be honest I would have reacted like Ben if my grade was 27% lol

He should've upheld his promise to never do a superhero movie again. He didn't need Batman v Superman. Dude was in a good place after Argo. Didn't need to wear tights and a cape for the rest of his career.

Affleck recognized the franchise he hitched his wagon to was becoming a dumpster fire, not to mention his personal life was probably falling apart.

I imagine most actors hate doing those press junkets anyway and they clearly hate doing them. So it's not surprising when the cracks show and you get a glimpse of how miserable they are doing them.

Cavill was the unproven commodity of the two still hoping to solidify his star status, so of course he was gonna toe the company line and put on a happy face in all public junctures.

whereas Ben was the established name who's been through it all. Coming back to the genre after Daredevil was a big risk after finally that career redemption tour of his. To receive that overall reaction, despite his performance being one of the shining lights of the film, makes his visible disappointment kinda understandable.

I won't go as far as to say that henry is greedy or cowardly for not coming out and supporting snyder because he was put in a really difficult spot. The rest of the cast putting out their support is great, but I can understand why he wouldn't. Jason and Gal are cash cows and WB isn't gonna punish them. For all we know, Ray Fisher is never playing cyborg again and really grew close to snyder, so of course he's gonna support his friend. Ezra, I don't even know anymore with that dude. But Henry is probably still holding out hope that they'll go back to the negotiation table and I could see him wanting to tread lightly/not want to rock the boat.

Spot on.

Affleck, despite what some think about his acting ability has given many solid performances over the years, like in The Town, Argo, Gone Girl, The Accountant and in recent movie The Way Back.

I would add BvS to that list. So, yeah his performance in BvS was one of the good things about the movie.

Loved Affleck in BvS and have no doubt Affleck loved the movie he made. That much seems clear from interviews, especially when asked about it during JL press.

At any rate, it’s not really worth comparing as far as him and Cavill. Two different people and they’re both entitled to their reactions.

Man, if this is really happening then

I think a good way to look at it is that all the non-toxic Snyder fans as well as people who are associated with the movie as well as people who just genuinely want to see would get to see it, which is a much larger group, imo, than just those toxic portion of the Snyder cult fandom, get to see the movie. There are a lot of people on this site who want to see it who are not toxic fans, for example.

Oh I know and I am glad for the non toxins, the toxics are the loudest though and there are a lot of them.

I still think those toxic Snyderholics were in the wrong the way they wet about it and they’re acting exactly as I knew they would. They’re gloating about it coming starting fights with anyone who doubted it. Asking for Snyder’s 5 film arc to be completed for Batfleck to come back etc. It won’t end here, their toxic behaviour will continue and even more so now cause they feel it works.
