There has to be some fluff considering we're talking about a 4-hour run time. If there won't be any then I'll be seriously impressed.

there is definitely gong to be fluff. no one sets out to make a 4 hour movie. let say he was going for a 3 hr cut for his TC, that is hour of fluff.

i think people should expect some fluff. it was never designed as a tv show

...Snyder said his 214 cut was without credits...

His assembly cut was over 5 hours... there wont be any fluff I am sure but with some flashback moments I don't see why it couldn't be even longer if he wanted...

Currently, I am assuming that most of the deleted footage is from the first and second acts if the film. I willl be pleasantly surprised if there's a handful of deleted footage post SW's defeat, more so if some of them includes Superman.

i wonder if it will ever delve into the relationship between krypton and apokolips.
was krypton aware of darkseid? were they ever enemies? etc

its seems like they were aware of krypton since steppenwolf says "no kryptonians" in the trailer.

their bio-mechanical tech seems to be something in common.
with the apokoliptan one being a twisted version of krypton's.

krypton seems to be an enlightened, fairly benevolent society( but one that grew stagnant and sterile.)

whereas apokolips is an oppressive, warmongering one.

The four-plus hours movie are extremely rare and usually only reserved for home video and TV. That said, I used to watched a lot of 3h 30+ mins films at the cinema without a problem.

The pull quote on the inevitable Blu-ray should be "Longer than [list of the above-mentioned films]". :D

they should release a box set of those movies that @moviefreak listed and include the snyder cut in it.

the "longest movies ever" boxset.

i didn't realize dances with wolves was that long.
i remember watchin that as a kid and enjoying it.
kevin costner has lot of cinematic gems under his belt.

ZSJL will definitely hold the title of "longest comic book movie". I don't see anything dethroning it tbh.

That's because it was a superbly made movie.

Of all the movie in my list just Peter Jackson's King Kong fell below the requisite quality of an epic while Cimino's The Deer Hunter tend to drag on in some parts.

I saw someone say somewhere (maybe it was here?) that this could akin to his extended Watchmen cut. So you have the TC of Watchmen, the Director's Cut (which was the non TC version I'm most familiar with) and the super, duper extended cut that's got the Black Freighter stuff and more which I saw for the first time last year.

I liked the longer version but in general, I'd prefer to watch the middle length version as a rule. So maybe Snyder will cut a shorter version as well for re-watch value. Then again, ROTK EE is 3:45 and I have no problem re-watching that.

Hello thread! I wanted to share my alternate trailer cut for Zack Snyder's Justice League.

I used all the new footage from the HBO Max teaser, but also included several clips and some dialogue from the older trailers used for JL's theatrical release to help pad out a narrative. Did my best to pick additional shots that weren't from reshoots/altered by Whedon—most of the added clips were culled from the 2016 Comic Con special footage, and the first official trailer. Hope you all enjoy :)

This is truly outstanding work. Could've easily been the actual trailer. Do you do this for a living? You should.

i feel the snyder cut being divided into 4 part episodes will be akin to reading a comic mini-series like darwyn cooke's new frontier.

a sprawling epic of how the justice league forms in the face of an alien invasion.
whereas cooke's story focused on the backstories of hal jordan and j'onn j'onzz, snyder cut will focus on victor stone's and barry allen's.

I'm still holding out hope for Lois and Clark's wedding with the heroes.
No evidence pointing towards that but it feels like a great end to the film.

I have an important question, i do not want to create a thread for it and i was even thinking about creating a twitter account to ask Jay Oliva about this, but:
Even if Justice League is succesfull, which i think it will be, i know it will be close to impossible to get the other two live action movies Zack planned, but is there ANY chance that at the very least we could get them as animated movies?
I honestly think is the best idea, i would not cost a lot of money beyond getting the cast to do the voices, and DC usually gets praised for their animated movies.
I think it would be better than nothing, just my two cents.
Edited: I think at the very least they should throw that idea at them and see what they say, i think at least Jay and Zack should ask about it at WB/DC...

I could see JL being a 4 parter, like a 4 issue graphic novel, like The Dark Knight Returns.

Do you guys have guesses about what will be the name of the 4 chapters/issues :

1. World Without Hope
2. The Alliance
3. Man of Tomorrow
4. Justice

Are you telling us that Snyder filmed an extensive amount of Knightmare footages during BvS production and JL production? lol

Well, DS has been right about certain inside stuff before.

I think DS80's comment was just referring to the shot in the gif, the scope of the image, the devastation that has occurred.

However, the very fact that this shot was in the trailer means there will be more knightmare scenes in JL. Snyder said "no compromise" and there is four hours worth.
I see no reason why there shouldn't be a significant amout of time spent there.

Can’t wait for more nightmare stuff. Will we see Lois murdered and Superman succumb to the anti-life equation?? I think Zack said it wasn’t shot, but who knows.
