Justice League Zack Snyder Directing Justice League (The Snyder Cut Edition)

I think DS80's comment was just referring to the shot in the gif, the scope of the image, the devastation that has occurred.

However, the very fact that this shot was in the trailer means there will be more knightmare scenes in JL. Snyder said "no compromise" and there is four hours worth.
I see no reason why there shouldn't be a significant amout of time spent there.

I think Zack said in an interview that there was more to the knightmare in JL

Just found this Beauty on YouTube...chills! Absolutely amazing!

I love that music. Every time I watch that scene, it gets me. Best death of the Waynes I've seen.

It's funny that with all those fan cuts of scenes from the JL movie using Junkie XL or Hans Zimmer music that we are actually, finally getting the real deal.

Thinking about the 4- one hour episodes
I can see these being edited in several different ways including a simple continuation stream.

It could also be done as chapters where we have a short recap of the death of Superman leading into some backstory of the old gods v Darkseid and Steppenwolf For chapter 1.

Chapter 2 could be the search for meta-humans including back stories for Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg. Chapters 3 and 4 will be the battle for the earth.

I can see Zack also releasing his revised 214 cut as a full finished film.

Very interested in seeing how this all develops and getting more updates as we get closer.

There was a discussion earlier about the so-called history lesson, old gods versus Darkseid invasion. I think I read that shooting that sequence they used thousands of extras which means there should be quite a bit of footage for that battle available. You’re not going to assemble that kind of cast and crew and not film everything humanly possible. The TC only showed long shots that could have been done digitally...

Deborah Snyder: I was gonna say in terms of Zeus, I don't wanna like give a history lesson and that's actually a small section of the film that we go back and tell the story of the Mother Boxes, so everyone knows the history. He's in a very small part. Obviously the Apokoliptian technology, the Mother Boxes, gives it a whole sci-fi, you know, flare. But I think it's still our world that they're living in and the characters interact I think as they, you know, it won't be--

Charles Roven: They interact in a real way. Just like they did in Man of Steel. You know, we did say that there's other entities out there. Not just us here on Earth. And so we're just following that track.

Costume designer Michael Wilkinson spent over half an hour with us proudly showcasing the research and craftsmanship that went into designing and constructing the large variety of costumes needed for Justice League. There are 3000 extras to dress and 200 speaking parts for this movie and all costumes made on set.

Sure sounds like Zack shot a MUCH bigger film than we saw in the TC!

Snyder's Justice League is the movie I look forward to the most next year. Yeah I get another iteration of the Batman universe with Matt Reeves film which looks like my type of film but Snyder's film is something I never thought ever I'd get.
Maybe something down the line but never Zack's complete 4 hour film with no Whedon footage.
Watching Whedon's JL just felt like it was missing alot of what was in the first two films with Zack that I enjoyed and now his JL will make it feel like a proper arc for Zacks films.
Knowing Darkseid was in his version and was cut was just upsetting. I read that it would tie off threads from other films like the codex from MOS.
The Knightmare sequence from BVS.
Lots of the other characters arcs like Cyborg. Aquaman, Wonder Woman ... basically lots of great character development that got pushs aside in the TC. The history lesson with more on the mother boxes.
Plus being teased with Black suit Superman.
A darker, more scary Steppenwolf.
Desaad and the big man himself. Darksied.
Even other heroes like Manhunter and Atom are in there in some form.
There is just sooo much to look forward to.
It was really set out from the get go that Zack wanted his Justice League to be this very big epic film that basically has everything and everyone in the DC universe fighting the world of Apocalypse to save our world.......and they cut it from the theatrical cut and added things like the Russian family and more jokes and lightheartedness. Ok then.
Anyway this is just awesome now. Can't wait.

Maybe this was already discussed, but I just realize that it could be Steppenwolf standing behind Cyborg.

The History Lesson needs to be a whole episode by itself.:cwink:

If definitely looks like him.

If so, Steppenwolf original design really make Cyborg connection to Apokolips work. They share textures and patterns. Same could be seen on Dessad too. This was something very lacking in the TC, where the artistic direction has been basterized in the process. The movie will really benefits from regaining a strong visual identity. That's one thing we can be sure of.

Silas has a motherbox next to him but it appear that Steppenwolf has another with him. Unless there's some tricky editing in the teaser, there would be two motherboxes involve in the scene. Interesting !

I wonder if this will be the canon version of the movie or will it still be the Josh Whedon's version? I'm interested seeing the Snyder Cut but I hope Snyder won't direct more movie in the series. Would be great to see Henry Cavill Superman movie with someone else directing.

I think Snyder already said that the TC is the canon version?

I made a shorter 35 second version of my fan edit of the opening scene I imagine from Zack's description. Brings back the memories of BvS and Superman's sacrifice.

If you look close, the moment Doomsday starts to die he flings out his arms and the spike is pulled from Superman's chest. Superman's arms are outstretched as well and match the NEW shot from a different angle of Superman in the FanDome trailer... Very interesting. Shows again how far in advance Zack thinks these shots. From Zack's description, Superman's death yell wakes the Motherboxs...

Again, not an editor but was fun to try... ; )

It's kind of funny how in Whedon's version the whole town got wiped out lol. The JL standing on the edge in that version is basically this:

Am I the only one thinking something is going on with this shot ?
I think Snyder wanted to tease us the league together but is also hiding something at the same time. I mean, obviously the heroes are watching the horizon far away and not that big-ass ship doing an ankward turn ahah
