The score will be released soon too, it's huge improvement over the one we got earlier. Loved everything JunkieXL has composed for this movie.

Is the BvS cut coming out all going to be in that new aspect ratio or just certain scenes? And does anyone know if this will be available on HBO Max?
The parts filmed in IMAX will be in 1.43. The rest will be in 2.35. Im not sure if the transitions will be a hard single frame switch or if it will expand and change over multiple frames.

I was considering watching Josstice League for the first time since that crushing theatre experience this week so I could do a fresh comparison in my mind when watching the SC and then said to myself, lol.....nah.

Joss Whedon : "Make it dark, make it grim, make it tough, but then, for the love of God, tell a joke".

Zack Snyder :

That's right after Superman punches Darkseid in the chest; an old man who's a glutton for punishment... And tattoos... And piercings... And S&M.

LOL I can attest to that, as I was one of several Hype members who had the privilege of seeing an advanced screening of the film when it first hit theaters. Granted, there wasn't applause at the end or anything like that, but people seemed to be genuinely satisfied with what they had just seen for the most part. As I was headed out, I even heard some guy behind me call it the "Hamlet of superhero films." I chuckled to myself and thought, "Let's not get carried away now." Once I got home, I hopped online to see what others were saying; and it was like nothing I'd ever seen before. SO. MUCH. ANGER. The Martha scene in particular, a personal favorite, mind you, was getting ripped to shreds. We also lost a lot of regulars that day. Heh, I don't know what else to say. It was a weird moment in time.

My buddy's wife worked for one of the companies doing ancillary promotion of the film so he went to the NY premiere. He sent me a lot of pictures and told me stories. He is still one of the few people I know personally who like the film and is excited for the Snyder Cut. (besides me of course)

I don't get the level of anger over the Martha scene either. If you like the film for the most part I think rationalizing around it might work somewhat. I just think of this version of Batman as an older right wing zealout from a Frank Miller comic whose not a fan of IPODS or Occupy movements that is a bit narrow sighted in his quest to eliminate what he views as a danger to humanity while he's lost his own.

It's something that may not play well theatrically to an audience but just a moment of transition for Batman to be like hey what am I doing? I'm going to succeed no matter what... Yet... Wait? What's this? Batman has to do a double take for a moment after becoming overly occupied with his thoughts returning to the one thought that occupies his life daily?

The Martha moment came off as silly and over the top to me. I mean, I get what they were going for but it just didn't land right with me. But the moment that made me give up on the film was Superman saying you can't stay good. Not looking to rehash all those debates but that was the moment when I basically said I'm done. I'm a sucker for DC so I still bought the blu-ray and the UC is a better movie, but doesn't fix my issues with the character portrayals.

JL still looks promising though, so I'm hoping it will be my favourite of Snyder's 3 (and maybe make me appreciate stuff more when seen in full, we'll see).

I don't know why they continue to throw money at Snyder.

He never met their expectations for MOS & BVS so why would they give him hundreds of millions to make a JL2 or JL3.

Martha doesn't bother me. I understand why it could stop Bruce cold. Its so random, and the very last thing Bruce would expect an alien godlike being to utter when he's about to be killed. As far as Bruce knows or cares this thing isn't a man. He's a monster in sheeps clothing. A demon. And the last thing it seems to care about before it dies is Martha? Then you factor in that its Bruce's mother's name and its no wonder it put him off. Bruce has a serious complex about his parents. Particularly his mother.

So yeah when the demon alien uses what may be its last breaths to say the name of your dead mother and asks you to save her its pretty damn shocking.

The only problem I had with the scene is Henry's delivery and the way its choreographed. The way Henry forces out, "Save Martha." like he's trying to drop a log in the toilet combined with the look on his face is just awkward, and a tiny bit goofy.

Superman should have begun to say, "Save my mother Martha." Bruce should have stomped his boot down into Superman's throat violently when Superman got to the word mother cutting it off, then Bruce should have lifted his boot, and thats when Supes should have rasped Martha weakly when Bruce was bringing the spear down on Supes's throat. Bruce should have stopped the spear just before it plunged into his throat and should have growled, "What did you say?" touching the spear to Supes's throat burning him. Superman croaks out Martha one more time, and Bruce gets angry and is off balance by this point, and screams the question again. That's when Lois comes running in.

This has so much more hype and anticipation around it compared to JL 2017, its crazy. The JL marketing(and the movie) made it look so bland, cliched, formulaic and mediocre. Like it was just another CBM. People like to say it bombed because of BvS, but I think that's an excuse, it bombed because it sucked. This is marketed as a DIRECT sequel to BvS with Zack Snyder's name in the f---ing title, and it still has much more hype.

This looks so much more unique, and something you HAVE to see. EXCITED.

Even if Snyder's more mythic vision of JL, the more "Injustice" style of DC isn't your preferred direction for the first JL movie, it's still preferable that it's leaning hard into A style, giving a unique experience, whereas the bland 2017 Justice League didn't really check any box.

Been sharing a lot of these that I'm seeing recently, so many people coming around to BvS UE since ZSJL is coming soon. Will become more common after ZSJL releases, I bet. More streamers need to put the UE up there. I always had a feeling this movie will age well, and its heartwarming to see this.

I’m right in saying the physical release news will include a standard Blu-ray and DVD release also yes? 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays generally include a normal Blu-ray disc too don’t they?

As much as I’d love to have a 4K player and tv, right now I’m still on standard blu-ray.
