Zelda

I think the Gamecube version has been delayed...

Some reports aren't favorable about the Wii's remote for slashing with the sword... but it was the feel of no 1:1 control after playing a Red Steel demo. I'm still interested in it, but I'm sure Zelda's sword mechanics will be totally overhauled by the next Zelda game.

Anyway, for all you crazy cats and hip, happening bastards out there, here goes the official Wii box-art:

You know, that is the best cover art for a Zelda game yet!

That's a fan/company mockup. Not a bad guess though... they all were pretty close, but the gold is Official Nintendo. Look for sites to start changing soon.

The gold cover sucks. You can barely make out the whole logo and

And..... you didn't even finish the sentence :o

It's awsome, Zelda covers need gold :cmad:

I like the first one too. Gold is Zelda man!:cmad:

I also dont like how part of the Zelda logo is covered up by the Wii panel on top:(

Box-art correction again. I like this one the least!

The thing that sucks about that one is the two-tone. It should be all brown-tan (link side), not gray (wolf side). Also Link and Wolf should match up perfectly.

The 2nd correction is the best. You can make out the faint design of the TP logo and it is all one color and the darker gold is better.

Also, the third one sucks the most as well because I thought the twilight world wasn't gonna be black and white anymore? This suggests otherwise.

:down

Alright, this isn't a matter of opinions? Which cover is it?!

I'm hoping it's the gold, Zelda has almost always been gold. That's almost a trademark, going all the way back to the NES's gold cartridge.

Well the gold one looks the best and fits the tradition so I am hoping for that one, but this is a MUST have for me though.

WIN! I ALWAYS thought that handling the Wiimote like a sword is just awesome. I am fully convinced that getting the Wii when it comes out with Twilight Princess WON'T be a mistake.

No 1:1 controls... not this time around anyway. I still think both versions will have their higher points... but the Wii version sounds great. Either way, I can't wait.

New Trailer coming either tomorrow or Wednesday.... (description may contain spoilers)

Aussie-Nintendo, as well as other sites, are reporting that the Australian Wii Party attendees are being treated to a brand new Twilight Princess trailer. I first saw this on GoNintendo, but as I ventured around, several other sites are confirming this report. Also, it appears this trailer, as well as new screenshots, are due out either tomorrow or Wednesday during the Nintendo of America, Inc., Zelda event in Redmond, WA.

Starts out with some Twilight Creatures in some sort of dark castle (Hyrule Castle?)

Goes to Cowboy Link, Epona, Colin and a couple of unidentified people. One has a sword. Epona's loaded up with wood for some reason or another. Colin goes with the man with the sword over a rope bridge, while Link (in his cowboy outfit) smiles at him.

Next up is the transformation sequence. Cowboy Link is walking through a path, when suddenly it turns into the Twilight Realm. He transforms into a Wolf, and is dragged away. We see Midna, and next wee some gameplay of Wolf Link and Midna attacking some Twilight Creatures. There's more gameplay, nothing particularily new but a town scene is shown with about 20 people in it, very impressive. Also, Link canoes down a rushing river, now in his classic outfit.

Few quick cuts of cutscenes, showing (among others) PRINCESS ZELDA! Zelda is casting some sort of elaborate spell, very pretty effects.

The trailer ends with Link pulling out the Master Sword and holding it up. The sword is quite a bit longer than any other game.

Sounds great, can't wait!!

Plus, new artwork:

Also, Nintendo promises to keep extremely tight-lipped about the story of this game. So much so, that those who'll be playing the game as part of the press this week won't have a complete version of the game. They want absolutely NO spoilers to be leaked.

Good. I don't want to know whats going to happen when I take on Ganon. Hopefully this is as sexy as Ocarina.... and by all accounts, it will be.
