Zelda

God damnit, I have to wait till the end of this week for a new shipment of Wii's to come in so I can play Zelda. :(

I went in and bought the game though. The disc is all nice and shiny gold colored. :o

So...conflicted...between...Wii version...and Gamecube version!!!

I don't see how the choice would be THAT hard. If you have a Wii....why on earth would you wait for a version that could very well be "less" of a game?

Go with Wii. **** some stupid reason like it is mirrored. The combat is so much better. You actually use the spin attack more often because you perform it instantly.

I'm a little less than halfway through the game (35 hours in, I believe) and I'm now definately a fan of the Wii controls... I don't think I could switch back. And no, I wasn't a believer off the bat.

The fourth dungeon wasn't my favorite so far, but I really thought (as with all of them) it was clever. And the boss battles continually prove to be the best of any Zelda game. Most innovative, most well planned out. Hopefully I'll get in a couple of hours tomorrow.

Yep. This control scheme beats the old ones. As the guy on the 1Up show pointed out, you find yourself using the spin attack a lot more because of how simple and quick it is to do it. Now you can take on a whole swarm of small enemies without leaving yourself open instead of hacking at them one at a time.

Spidey-Bat, how far along are you? I'm thinking of dedicating tomorrow to a heavy day of playing, but I doubt I'll have the time. I really wanna see the end of this story. :csad:

Stupid Wii shipment not getting in until friday. What the hell am I supposed to do until then!? :cmad: :csad:

I just got the last piece of the Mirror of Twilight. I'm going to have some fun before I go to the Mirror Shrine. I'll collect some Poe souls and do some laps around Hyrule Field.

Also, if you haven't already, get the extra bomb bags and quivers. For the 2 bomb bags, talk to the woman at the Boat Rental near the Fishing Hole. Some of the Twilight enemies appear from a warp portal. After you beat them she talks about the river to Lake Hylia being blocked. Do it and you keep the bomb bag. The other is in Zora's Domain. Go to the bottom of the sea floor with iron boots and Water bombs. Blow up the rock from Death Mountain.

Just passed the 18 hour mark, I have to tell you that this is one of the most epic games I've ever played. The controls PUT me into the game, for the first time I'm not just controlling Link...I AM Link. No, I'm not swinging my arms around like a ******ed monkey, my hands rest calmly on my legs, but in a way that's completely different from a joystiq. I flat out love the control to this game, and I don't want to think about playing it the standard way ever again. Like many of you said, doing the spin attack is so much simpler now, I do it quite often.

Also just got the Zora armor, it's pretty B.A.

I think when I get my Wii and I'm playing this game I'm going to be standing up the entire time.

Well this interview has definetely confirmed which version I am getting:

George Harrison in an interview with GamePro about Twilight Princess said:
GP: What sorts of online features are you looking forward to in the future?

Harrison: Downloadable content, such as additional levels

Yaa-taa!

Not only does the prospect of additional levels excite me, but I am hoping that Nintendo will allow the game to be flipped to it's Gamecube variation on the Wii!

I want my lefty Link and correct ancient Hyrule dammit! :cmad:

I've been playing for a little while and just ended up in the Twilight Realm for the first time, but I wanted to know if the traditional Zelda theme, the one that everyone associates with is in this game...it has been in all of them I think except for Ocarina of Time...

For those who don't know what theme I refer to, here is a link:

http://zs.ffshrine.org/majoras-mask/...world_v1-1.mid

i don't recall hearing it. The background music varies depending upon what is happening.

I was gonna say I haven't heard it yet, and then I was gonna say it wasn't in Wind Waker either... but yeah it was in the opening moments with the story in WW... then later when he's dubbed the Hero of Winds. Which reminded me, that moment was very similar to a moment in this game that came early on, and sure enough the music was (if memory serves) the original theme.

For those who've reached that point already [blackout]it's after you complete the first twilight mission and clear the twilight in the Forest... and you're returned to human Link. The Fairy tells you of your mission and how you were chosen by the gods of Hyrule.[/blackout]

Anyone can back me up here? I'm not 100% sure...

I have three bags and I believe the biggest quiver there is... (60?)

[blackout]I just slid down the mountain after the beast in the Snowpeak area. Man, that sliding thing was the best.[/blackout] I find it amazing how they've managed to pack in so many elements of so many different games in this one game. They've even gotten a little Super Monkey Ball with that game the hot girl in the fishing place made.

Gonna check out som'more tomorrow.

I didn't think the Water temple in Wind waker was as hard as the other water temples

I think people are just automatically scared of water temples just because
a) ocarina of time
b) you move so slow in water
c) water bosses are hard.
d) that ***** water temple in majora's mask

nevermind. wateer temples suck. period.
