You know it makes sense now why the Hylians prayed for the Hero of Time to come before Hyrule got flooded even though he was long gone, a person exactly similar arrived when Zant tried to merge the Twilight Realm and Hyrule.Kipobe said:I was gonna say I haven't heard it yet, and then I was gonna say it wasn't in Wind Waker either... but yeah it was in the opening moments with the story in WW... then later when he's dubbed the Hero of Winds. Which reminded me, that moment was very similar to a moment in this game that came early on, and sure enough the music was (if memory serves) the original theme.
In WW you never went underwater...the tower of the gods had some water-level puzzles though, so I guess that's the closest thing WW had to a water templeKipobe said:I completely can't remember the water temples in WW and MM
Regardless, the Water Temple here was pretty easy. Actually, all the dungeons and temples here are "easy", but they're still highly enjoyable.
The main theme while sailing was the original Zelda theme, just re-mixed, or re-arranged, whatever the correct term is. It was the theme, just...a little differentKipobe said:I was gonna say I haven't heard it yet, and then I was gonna say it wasn't in Wind Waker either... but yeah it was in the opening moments with the story in WW... then later when he's dubbed the Hero of Winds.
You should totally use spoiler tags. I thought you didn't have the game yet...?hippie_hunter said:You know it makes sense now why the Hylians prayed for the Hero of Time to come before Hyrule got flooded even though he was long gone, a person exactly similar arrived when Zant tried to merge the Twilight Realm and Hyrule.
So do the Hylians think that this Link is the Hero of Time returned or does he get a Hero of [Insert Title] like the other Links have?
I don't know if they're harder... they're a lot more grand and involved, but harder? Not really. They're very intuitive... if you've played Zelda you know what to do. Combination of items; using the newest item you get; the first path is usually the wrong one; what you can't do now you'll be able to do later; look carefully around every room and use all that's at your disposal.kainedamo said:I haven't got a wii yet. It's not even out yet. Use spoilers if you guys are gonna go into detail
Hey Kibobe, you say the dungeons are easy? I heard from lots of places they were harder.
I still don't remember. Was it before you got the Master Sword, or after? I need to go back and play that game. Not Jake said:In WW you never went underwater...the tower of the gods had some water-level puzzles though, so I guess that's the closest thing WW had to a water temple
In that case you could say that about any Zelda game, really. They all do that at one point or another with their overworld theme... but the Ocean theme wasn't the original no more than OoT's Hyrule Field was the original. Not Jake said:The main theme while sailing was the original Zelda theme, just re-mixed, or re-arranged, whatever the correct term is. OoT's Link got dubbed that because of his traveling through time. MM's Link didn't get an official title (if memory serves correct) because he was OoT's Link. WW's Link was dubbed Hero of Winds.Spidey-Bat said:I think the Hero of Time is for all Links. It's a title given to the person who saves Hyrule in its darkest hour.

Dunno what this Link is gonna get yet... if any.
Spidey-Bat said:Where does it say WW Link is the Hero of Winds?
kainedamo said:It says so in the game. He is dubbed the Hero of Winds by the King of Hyrule.
I'm only 5 dungeons in, but this game has really set the bar for what all Zelda games should be. This is why Gamespot's review was such crap... because they said it's the same old thing... this game has redesigned so many Zelda staples, and brought in a myriad of new ones. I mean, Snowpeak's dungeon was set in someone's home for crying out loud... how kickass is that? And the story is way compelling.kainedamo said:Well lets see. Each Zelda game since OOT has had a unique gameplay feature to that game. OOT enabled you to go between being a kid and an adult. MM had that whole weird time limit to complete the game thing. WW had the sailing. TP has being able to turn into a wolf. So maybe they'll do something new for the next game.
Besides that, what else can they do really? Graphical upgrade, a few new gameplay features... and what else? They made the perfect game when they made OOT, so they can't really redesign the whole concept from the ground up. All they can do is upgrade the graphics and add in a few new gameplay features where they can.
