I might be the only one, but I kinda like Jigsaw.

Despite the ending, Impact was a good show that focused on a lot of wrestling. One of the main bright spots of the show was the emphasis on the X-Division.

I'm hoping that there will eb a renewed focus on the division going forward with some new talents to freshen things up. Sonjay being back is great for the division. he received high praise from for his match backstage tonight, particularly from Dixie, which bodes well for him.

I've read good things about the Cameron guy (aka Jeez). I didn't care for Jigsaw's look, but his work was fine for those kinds of matches.

Doug Williams is still a part of the roster so I would think he would be back. Zema Ion most likely will be used at the PPV. Kash is there if they want to use him. I'm curious as to who else they will bring in or bring back.

If TNA actually gives the X-Division some time again, they have the makings of solid roster that could provide for some entertaining matches.

I really don't see how the new Destination X title shot concept is going to work, unless TNA signs some better X Division talent.

WWE developmental FCW issued the following announcement:

According to PWInsider, WWE Diva Maxine has quit WWE.

The report states that Maxine was frustrated with several different things, including not being given a guaranteed deal and not being able to prove herself on TV outside of NXT. She was last seen in the Diva battle royale on Raw this week.

Maxine joined WWE back in 2009 as a developmental talent and was in FCW until NXT's third season. She returned during Season Five as part of a triangle with Derek Bateman and Johnny Curtis.

Taker? Sweet. I wonder if he'll fight Dean Ambrose.

Losing to Lesnar instead of Rock would've made sense since it would've re-established a returning star who could've gone on a tear the entire year. But they've jacked up Lesnar's booking.

Exactly what I was trying to say the other day. It was a poor decision and now Brock doesn't have the same level of heat.

WWE To Produce Halle Berry Film
Deadline.com is reporting that WWE will be co-producing the upcoming thriller film "The Hive," starring Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin.

Principal photography for the film begins this summer and the synopsis is as follows:

"The Hive" is the story of an emergency call center operator who takes a call from a teenage girl who has been abducted and locked in the trunk of a car.

According to The Wrestling Observer, the early estimates for WWE's 2012 Over the Limit PPV have the show doing 171,000 buys worldwide with 123,000 domestic buys.

This figure would be up from last year's draw of 145,000 buys with 72,000 domestic, which is a 71% increase for the domestic number. The overseas buy rate is down 34% compared to last year.

That actually doesn't sound too bad.

They definitely need to sign a name or two. The problem isn't not having the talent, it's using it. Williams and Kid Kash are both great when they are given a chance to shine. Ion is solid. Sorensen showed a lot of promise before he was hurt. We know Sabin can go and it looked like he was in for a renewed push before he got hurt. Dutt coming back goes a long way.

If TNA goes the same route they went last year and basically forgets the X Division after Destination X, it doesn't matter who they sign.

I'd plug Joe back in the X-Division since he has zero juice anywhere else on the card. Let him be the monster of the division again.

An X-Division roster like this would looks quite good (with possible new signings)

Sonjay Dutt
Joey Ryan
Kid Kash
Doug Williams
Samoa Joe
Chris Sabin
Zema Ion
Jeez
Jesse Sorenson

The thing is that none of those guys, except maybe Doug Williams and Chris Sabin should have a shot at the world title. Joe's not in the division, is he? I thought the match with Aries was a special deal because of the anniversary.

With the way they are booked right now, of course not, but how many guys in TNA or another promotion who could wrestle for the X-Division could honestly challenge for a world title?

Aries has been the exception to the rule because he's damn good in the ring, he has charisma, carries himself like a superstar, and most importantly, is booked like he is a star.

Everything comes down to how a guy is booked. Joe is the perfect example of what good booking does for a guy and having a shot at a title, and he has very few things going for him outside of his ring skills. As soon as he stopped being booked like a monster, the bloom was off the rose.

The X-Division should not be littered with guys who are world champ material. Very few guys are of that caliber on a roster. All you need is a guy or two who can be booked well enough to be believable in that spot when given a chance.

The X-Division needs to stand out with athletic guys who are going t be different and push a faster pace, just like the Cruiserweight division in WCW.

Ryan is not officially in the division, but given his size, I can easily see him placed in that spot. He's a rather small guy

I haven't watched Wrestling in a number of years and was wondering what started the whole Daniel Bryan YES thing?

I haven't watched Wrestling in a number of years and was wondering what started the whole Daniel Bryan YES thing?

When Bryan turned heel he started celebrating like crazy after every win, yelling "YES YES YES" and pumping his arms in the air.

It started catching on with the fans, especially after his 18 second loss at WrestleMania.

There have also been numerous avatars involving that Daniel Bryan chant, with Hunter having the latest.

Thanks for the response.

TNA has announced that there will be four singles tournament matches that will take place at the Destination X pay-per-view. The four winners of those matches will advance to an Ultimate X match, which will determine the new X Division Champion. The qualifiers are listed as Zema Ion, Kid Kash, Doug Williams, Sonjay Dutt, and Rashad Cameron. Read more at Impactwrestling.com/news/item/3608-Exclusive-Details-On-X-Division-Title-Tournament.

Powell's POV: The TNA regulars were given an automatic spot in the tournament. There will be additional qualifying matches on next week's Impact television show. It's a bit chaotic, but I like this approach because the wrestlers are earning a spot in the Ultimate X match rather than just being thrown in a gimmick match that will determine the new champion.

TNA-CHIKARA UPDATE
by Mike Johnson @ 12:12 PM on 6/29/2012

Rubix (aka Jigsaw) won't be the only CHIKARA talent appearing in the TNA X-Division championship tournament. The word making the rounds at TV last night was that TNA was hoping to have some sort of relationship going forward. That will certainly be interesting to follow.

Note from Superark: Sara Del Ray PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

I like the tournament approach to advance to the match for the vacant title too than lots of people in it just cause there in the division or was in it!

The Rock is not really a box office draw. He's an action film actor yes. But he's not an action film lead. He's had no iconic character.

What movie is that from?Guiermo Del Toro's Outer Rim?

Haven't heard of it,Must be a DTV movie

This week's edition of Impact was a lot better than last week's in terms of in-ring action after all that cramming. This is quality over quantity here. They are trying to rebuild the X-Division in a big way with the returning Sonjay Dutt and new guys like Rashad Cameron, Rubix, and Mason Andrews. TNA should sign all these guys and Rashad stood out to me more than anyone else.

Taeler Hendrix passing the Gutcheck and getting the contract to TNA is all that matters. She has likely learned from the mistakes of Alex Silva and Joey Ryan, even though Silva has also passed. I had a feeling Joey Ryan was going to show up and it's a good work-shoot here that TNA is bringing back. These work-shoots are the reasons I became a pro wrestling fan in 1983.

The BFG series matches were good with Ken Anderson/ RVD and Bully Ray/ Samoa Joe. While RVD has earned points, Bully Ray is still behind along with Robbie E and AJ Styles. Samoa Joe is catching up to James Storm in terms of the lead.

I guess Garett Bischoff is not Madison Rayne's secret crush.

Notice that the Hogans are running TNA pretty well while the show is impeded by the AJ Styles/ Dixie Carter/ Daniels/ Kazarian storyline with the drug addict woman. After last week's brutal segment, you'd have thought they would have learned by now as they didn't. I guess Vince Russo was right that Dixie Carter is confused.

Like I said, a much, much better edition of Impact than last week's for the in-ring action.

Is Dutt back just for the ppv or is he back under contract??

So apparently Maxine has quit WWE as well. No real big loss, but the divas division just gets smaller and smaller.
