Rampage Jackson is reportedly done with UFC after his next fight. If I was Vince I would reach out to him about working for WWE, because he's a huge wrestling fan.

The WWE would change his name to Hugo Von Blizzard.

can't quote you colossal spoons because it is in the closed thread but if you look at pictures of the rock growing up he had it before he was even ripped - i think it must be in his genes as rikishi (although he was fat you could tell he had it from his nipples) and the usos have it too

Yeah, if that whole family is genetically predispositioned for it, then that's unfortunate :(

- As noted before, WWE officials do have a role planned for The Miz at WrestleMania 28 but they won't announce it and aren't looking to talk about it too much because they want it to be a big surprise.

- As we have also posted, Rey Mysterio may end up with the final spot on Team Long for the big multi-man match at WrestleMania 28.

WWE officials have also been considering Evan Bourne for the spot.

There was talk of making the Team Long vs. Team Laurinaitis match an Elimination Match but that would take up too much time.

- There is a lot of talk within WWE that Evan Bourne may return to feud with Jack Swagger for the United States Title once WrestleMania 28 is over. Bourne is also under consideration for one of the spots on Team Long for the big multi-man match at WrestleMania.

However, officials are considering leaving Bourne off WrestleMania altogether as a form of punishment for his repeated Wellness failures over the past few months.

When pushing Bourne is brought up, the argument is there that he could be fired from the company if he fails another test. WWE official are always hesitant to push talents who have failed more than one test.

- WrestlMania 28 may just end up being a 7 match card as officials want to leave enough time for the main events as well as backstage vignettes and promos for The Rock. Word is that The Rock will be given as much time as he wants for his promos and segments building to the main event.

Officials have announced few matches for the card with just two weeks to go because they wanted to make sure they have enough time cleared for the top matches. Triple H vs. Undertaker, CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho and The Rock vs. John Cena all have 25-30 minutes set aside.

There is talk that Hell in a Cell will be in the middle of the event with The Rock vs. John Cena going on last and possibly Punk vs. Jericho opening the show.

hmmm im at odds with this, on one hand I think its a bad move as the wwe title match should never open ANY ppv match ,then again these two (Punk/Chris) could put on a great performance setting the bar for everyone else to try and follow for the rest of the nights.

I don't remember exactly who said that comment on no one clamoring for Jarrett as a main eventer, but he was always great on the mic and performed well in the ring in WWF, he was just held down severely towards the end, when he deserved to at least be a top player.

He proved in his second WCW run that he was a main eventer. His matches were a lot better, and his mic work was just excellent. Of course, the "Chosen One" gimmick rocked.

I'm one of the few that actually thought WCW was starting to get better as a product towards the end. So maybe I'm biased.

''well from my point of view....shut up wretlingthread''

''The wrestling thread is looking forward to that Proctological Exam''

"We're All Dancing Çause The Wrestling Thread Rocks"

I'm tired of all the Daniel Bryan thread titles.

Also:

-Good to hear that they have big plans for Miz at Wrestlemania.
-Good news that Rock is going to have a lot of mic time at Wrestlemania.
-Not good news that Chris Jericho v. CM Punk is being considered to open the show. The 4 main events should end the night looking something like this:

Sheamus v. Daniel Bryan
Undertaker v. Triple H - Hell In A Cell
Chris Jericho v. CM Punk
John Cena v. The Rock

Open the night with Big Show v. Cody Rhodes. Follow up with Randy Orton v. Kane. Then have Team Laurinitis v. Team Long.

-The purists in this thread will be happy that the 4 main events are all being allotted 30 minutes each.
-I also hate that Santino is on Team Teddy. Why can't the US Title be defended at Wrestlemania?

Walked into a store the other day to check some wrestling figures out.... :/

So much variety there, Lunar Wolf lol.

If all of those matches happen towards the, the crowd will be gassed out. They need a breather in between these big matches. WM needs a strong opener, and Jericho/Punk is perfect for that.

Honestly, I wonder on what’s the point anymore of hyping a royal rumble victory at this point? I mean both this year’s wrestlmania and last year’s world title match that was made as a result of someone having been victorious in the royal rumble wasn’t highlighted as the supposed “main event” like it’s been known to be in the past.

As for my feelings regarding the Rock these days, he’s durable when he’s on point and promoting his match with Wrestlemania, but honestly, whenever he opens his mouth to promote himself alone or just talk random crap, while acting like he’s in awe of the moment, it just comes off as total BS for me at times. It kind of sucks to hear that he’s going to be given leeway again at Wrestlmania when there are a lot more guys that could use the time to build their matches.

On a side note, I got to admit that this year’s Wrestlemania card is LEAGUES better than last year’s one imho.

I agree. Winning the Rumble doesn't seem as prestigious as it used to be. As others have said previously, winning the MitB feels more of a bigger deal thses days.

I'm fine with Rock and Cena going on last and its the right thing to space out the three main events but Punk and Jericho should NOT be jerking the curtain. At least put them on second or third. Its a bigger match than Edge vs Del Rio was and for the WWE title.

How much time does the Rock NEED? It should be about QUALITY not QUANTITY. The fact that they are bending over for him to give him MORE time is ridiculous. Thats been the story of his return: going on longer than he needs to with a bunch of superfluous bullsh**. He shouldn't need that much time if he wants to do some solid but relevant segments for the night.

Give Rhodes and Show enough time to let the IC title match shine.

Can they PLEASE get Ryder SOMETHING to do for WM. The guy busted his ass to get over and WWE royally drooped the ball. They gave his title to bolt neck Swagger then gave it to old news Santino. I like Santino but Ryder should at least be on Team Long.
