Zombieland Is Open For Business.

I'm sure it will sell a lot of dvds.

And yet just check out the comments section saying people are being greedy and should be happy are even downloading their movie.

Right, be happy that their movie is basically being stolen. That's like saying a store manager should be happy when someone shoplifts. "Hey, at least that tells me I've got good product!" Yeah right.

Piracy is here to stay. I don't condone piracy of films in theaters (one of the big reasons why the hell would you want a crappy version of a great movie? It kind of kills the experience don't ya think?) but still I don't think the effect piracy has is THAT huge. Even amidst the piracy of many movies it has still proven that as long as these studios make a quality film it will make money. Hell even some stinkers have killed at the box office. The piracy effect is MINIMAL. It is just a small piece of the pie. Piracy of these movies is good and bad in different ways but in either way the studios are still making money.

Piracy does have an influence. It influences people to complain about it.
So you think its okay to just steal or take something without paying for it?

Does that mean I could just come right into your house and steal something, just cause i wanted it?

Stealing is stealing no matter how you put it. You don't need a movie to survive.

There's a difference a want and a need.

Information is free, my TV is not. There's a difference.

And honestly, you stealing my TV affects me negatively, me downloading something for free affects me positively. It's just that simple.

It just makes you a jerk that's all it makes you. Not thinking of anyone but your greedy self.

You don't think of all the crew members or anything do you?

No, I don't. In fact, I don't really care what happens to anyone so long as I don't know them personally. There's too many people for me to care, and it's just money anyway.

Writing and Directing Team Locked in for 'Zombieland 3D'

Confirming reports from last week, Sony has officially closed deals with Zombieland producer Gavin Polone and helmer Ruben Fleischer to return for a 3-D sequel to the original, which cost $24 million and has earned $85.2 million worldwide to date. The Culver City studio is currently in talks with stars Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg to reprise their roles as a pair of post-apocalyptic survivors. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working on the sequel's screenplay. In the first film, Columbus (Eisenberg) has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee (Harrelson) doesn’t have fears. If he did, he’d kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, they’re about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all: each other.

Yay! More 3D. You can see how excited I am about this.

his point is that not everyone involved in tv or movies is rolling in the money...and the less revenue studios or tv studios get due to downloading, lost ad revenue etc, means less money for projects and less work for the nuts and bolts people involved

I know it just effects everyone in general. More others then less.

It's like a regular 9-5 job for them. Only the hours longer.

Why in the hell is Zombieland 2 in 3D??? Oh wait I know, because it's a movie being released in the next 2-3 years which means it automatically has to be 3D. Good God.

This bull **** with everything being made in 3D is really starting to get on my nerves.

If Avatar's 3D is as groundbreaking and immersive as they say it is, maybe these other companys will bow down and stop using the subpar version of it. The 3D we have now is a lot better than what it used to be but it's still not great, and actually can hinder a lot of films...just like it will for Zombieland.

This is yet another film that truly does not need to be in 3D.

By the way, nice Avy. Have you seen Crank 2?

Maynard has a cameo in it. I wasn't expecting it so I didn't recognize him at first. Saw his name in the credits and caught him the second time around.

It is stupid making every movie that seems to be coming out into 3D. Especially every horror movie coming out.

I don't care what D it's in, I just want more Tallahassee zombie ass kickin.

"Hey man, I really appreciate your work! What? You want some money? Sorry dude, hahah!"

lol

Becuase for a lot of these studios announcing 3-D titles for movies that don't really need it, frankly, and the 3-D surcharge brings in more money. The Cabin in the Woods, Friday the 13th Part Two (the NL/WB sequel), Halloween 3, et al.

I mean, if you're going to do 3-D movies, try to use it as something more than a gimmick (aka stuff flying out at you) and try to draw in the audiences more. Avatar is ideal for this sort of thing, horror movies really don't need it.

I don't see how it takes away from the enjoyment of the movie

Why is everyone so anti-3D?

It's because it's a new fad they try to get the masses to buy into even though the fad was done many decades ago and ended up dying...for a reason.

Another reason is that they are choosing some off the wall films to make in 3D. The kind of films where it truly is unnecessary.

Like I said in my previous post. If the 3D in Avatar is as groundbreaking as they say it is, to where for the first time you'll actually feel like you're there...then I will welcome more 3D so long as it uses that new form. Until then, the standard 3D is noticably better than the 3D used many years ago but it still isn't that great.

I mean I've only seen one 3D movie in theaters and that was The Final Destination.

I skip the 3D movies, $11.95 for a regular ticket is all I'm willing to shell out. :o Funnily enough, when I went to see Zombieland they had the wrong reel on, instead Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs started to play. :D I don't see what the craze is but hopefully it dies out, even if it is improved with this new "Real-D" bulls**t.

I only pay 7/50 for a matinee. I think it was like 10.75 for a 3d matinee showing.
