Zombies!

One thing for sure, if you're in a big town or city, get out. Head to a secluded area, perhaps a farmhouse or cabin. And for God sakes don't make the same mistake the people in the movies do!

I'd head to Alaska or Brimstone Island (An Old Salt mining/bootlegging island in Lake Erie)

Brimestone would be perfect because there are alot fruits and such plus Salt mines are all securable with the giant steel doors, plus its and Island Zombies really can't swim.

No they can't swim, but their bloated bodies may float...or they might sink to the bottom and eventually find their way to the shore (If they don't dissolve).

Yet another quick question, super fuel-efficient car or an armored car that can plow through everything, is equipped with bullet resistant glass but has horrible gas mileage.

They could wade into the water, some could drift to shore...:wow:

Be prepared.:cmad:

Here's my plan...

  1. Gather all the weapons I have at my apartment, pistol and katana
  2. Head for Cheaper than Dirt, it's a military surplus store that sells water purification units, MRE's and lots and lots of guns.
  3. Either persuade the clerk to join or politely kill him
  4. Secure the exits and hang out on the roof till it's all over.

You mean you don't already have these?
Oh you're not prepared for ****. :o

What zombie films have you all seen?

That I can at least remember:

Night of the Living Dead
Night of the Living Dead - Remake
Dawn of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead - Remake
Day of the Dead
Land of the Dead
Planet Terror
Shaun of the Dead
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
Dead Alive
Zombi 2
Return of the Living Dead
Resident Evil
Resident Evil: Apocalypse

I'm also a Die Hard fan of the Resident Evil series (The games, not the movies. The movies suck.)
The 28 days series aren't zombie films dammnit:cmad:

I haven't seen those two.
I'm a fan of the RE games, books, and first movie.

It will never be over once begun

Here is the appropriate course of action in case of a zombie apocalypse.

In order:

1.) Lay down
2.) Die

this isn't like vampires where you can jam a stake (or a steak if it's a fat vampire) through their heart and emerge victorious or a werewolf you can shoot with a silver bullet. There's is only ONE way this can end, and it's not good for the humans side. Everyday you DON'T get killed is only delaying the unpreventable. Just blast yourself and be done with it.

Super fuel efficient car. get out fast, and go far.

But Cheaper than Dirt sells riot gear, MRE's, assault rifles, water purification tablet and ect. :o

With proper PPE, I think I'd opt for a dirtbike.

Between those two, though...fuel efficient.

Crabs and **** would eat them.

Is no one familiar with Children of the Living Dead?

Destroying the brain of zombie = Stake to vampires heart = Silver bullet to wereolf

No protection is pointless
They're honorary zombies. :o
They're technically zombies, not the living dead kind though.

then what are they? Is a Zombie a sub-genis of something

They are humans infected with a virus which drives them completely insane, essentially turning them into incredibly pissed off murderers intent on killing and/or infection. I think Danny Boyle described it best, "Imagine your worst moment of road rage, then multiply it by a billion). They are alive like you and me, they can be killed just like anyone else.

Yeah they are. Just because they're a different take on the mythology doesn't mean that they aren't zombies. What George Romero himself did in 1968 was a completely different take than what had been done before. Just like any other monster there are different ways you can handle it.

28 days later = mindless creatures who feed on human flesh, that makes them zombies.

and then of course there's always this rule of thumb: If the director insists that they AREN'T zombies (Romero, Boyle), then that's probably what they, in fact, are.

I'd head to the mall and do a Dawn of the Dead
