Zombies!

They are humans infected with a virus which drives them completely insane, essentially turning them into incredibly pissed off murderers intent on killing and/or infection. They are alive like you and me, they can be killed just like anyone else.

But virus infected humans is too long. :o

Destroying the brain of zombie = Stake to vampires heart = Silver bullet to wereolf

But there will always be more zombies. There's now way of coming back from the zombie apocalypse.

In World War Z the humans finally won, the tropical areas we're zombie free the last stragglers were lingering in cold areas like Iceland where they just went dormant.

Yeah they are. Just because they're a different take on the mythology doesn't mean that they aren't zombies. What George Romero himself did in 1968 was a completely different take than what had been done before. Just like any other monster there are different ways you can handle it.
Zombies are undead creatures. Those were rage infected humans who could indeed be killed and who were still humans. Not zombies nor did 28 days later call them such.

World War Z is only fiction, the Romero films are, as everyone knows actually homes videos sent from the future.

It doesn't matter, go see 28 days later, it's one of the best movies ever.

Yeah and the infected never ate or feasted on anyone (Other then biting). In fact most of them starved to death. But thats a topic for another thread.

Humans seemed to do just fine in Night of the Living Dead. :o

Face it, they are Zombies. The 28DL zombies can't be killed my heartshot, only headshot and even then you have to watch out for the blood or spit.

They are ****ing Zombies, brainless flesh eating creatures who brains must be destroyed.

The infected die just like anyone else. Not just by headshots, watch the film again.

Zombies aren't technically undead

Something that I never got is why the church in the beginning was full of all those dead people.
What did those zombies eat?

I'm sure if the regular Zombies were left long enough they too would starve to re-death.

Maybe they were recent infected?
