OMG.....what a shame!!!! The greatest umpire in the history of baseball will no longer be calling balls and strikes. The man who has made the strongest case in history for having a machine make calls is gone....wah...wah....wah....

Angel Hernandez is spelled with no "I"s (eyes).
Oh man......I'm not a Braves fan, but hate it when people get hurt.....well, mostly. LOL
this sucks. and i'm finally crossing a bucket list item off my list next month in seeing the Braves and the Orioles play :/
WOW!!! Casey Stengel was right.....they really are amazing. The Amazing Mets have won two in a row!![]()
I'm pretty damn happy that the Cubs have gotten back on the winning track because they get the benefit of playing an abysmal White Sox team that has succeeded with keeping the games close, however, they continue to find ways not to close.
The Marlins stink as much as a skunk and onions combined because they've been outscored during their last 4 games.
The Mets fans can be entertained that the Mets continue to be a depressing awful team. The Mets are 11-21 since May 1. It is that factual reason why even realistic optimistic Mets fans would agree it's highly unlikely the Mets have a great turnaround.
The suspense is killing me.......
Oh that’s what this is, was wondering why there were suddenly thousands of Yanks in town.
I though it was the Mets and not the Yanks.Oh that’s what this is, was wondering why there were suddenly thousands of Yanks in town.I’ll have to go one day, only ever been to 1 baseball game.
Haha.I though it was the Mets and not the Yanks.![]()
I went there too about 7 or 8 years ago. I was doing some IT work for the bank I worked for and they flew me out to NY. My wife and I went and had a good time. I found the people of NY to be very friendly and helpful. Not at all like the reputation I'd heard about.Haha.
Yankees is the stadium I went to for Red Sox. About a decade ago. Amazing crowd given the home team were losing.
I had a great time, and someone had the VIP box or whatever you call it, was awesome! I'll definitely see games here if they are on my doorstep - I walk past the stadium nearly every day as it is.I went there too about 7 or 8 years ago. A large part must be the novelty value, but also there are loads of American fans at the matches (and in the area around the stadium (right next to a big shopping centre, loads of places to eat and at the Olympic park)) beforehand. There are probably UK people travelling a bit further to get there but it would likely be a different story if there were tons of matches at different stadiums (less novelty). There are legit fans in the UK who prefer it to some of the sports here. One of my friends has a group of 20 or so who regularly watch the NFL and go to any events in the country. I've been before and it was very fun.I always wondered about about sporting events in another country and how "popular" or how manufactured it is to seem popular over here watching. There is just too many US teams to see a packed stadium for? Or is it just the spectacle of the event?
