I mean, its not really an either/or kind of situation. However, the rhetoric towards LGBTQ+, and specifically trans people, is getting particularly violent.

Does it matter? The fact that a lot of people are both is the more important issue. I don’t think it’s the country per se, I just think that there’s a large contingency that is very dangerous.

Social media is basically just a giant megaphone. The megaphone itself is just a tool that amplifies what’s already there, and in and of itself isn’t dangerous. Unfortunately, a bunch of extremely loud, obnoxious, ignorant, whiny and entitled adult-children clinging to “tradition”, created by religious extremists and historical revisionists, got their hands on it and have endlessly abused it by shouting and polluting constant, damaging recycled and repeated nonsense into the ether.

It should be noted that transpeople of color are more likely to get killed. Even within that community, white privilege exists.

I'm willing to hear more evidence of that, but my first impressions is to beat a hate crime prosecution.

I have no doubt this is a hate crime and he is lying. Notice how nothing has been suggested previously he was nonbinary until he has been charged with hate crimes? Not a single story or reference from anyone he knew they interviewed referenced a nonbinary history.

It’s been said once, and I’ll say it again: projection.

The ones who keep bringing it up and making a big deal of it are usually the ones who are doing it, or defending those who are doing it. And, if I was a betting man, considering all of the connections between all of these morons, Tucker Carlson probably knows a ton of them.

It's becoming apparent that right wing media and Republican leadership are using this rhetoric to incite violence and deny culpability later. Tim Poole has jumped on all LGBTQ+ people are pedophiles bandwagon.
