They apparently didn't lower it after Sandy Hook, Paris and San Bernardino...citing US Flag Code. I have no opinion either way but I wouldn't automatically rule them as homophobic or bigots unless more is brought to light. I think petty stuff like that, from either side, detracts from the larger issue like gun control.

The U.S. flag is otherwise flown at half-staff (or half-mast on ships) only when directed by the President of the United States, or (only for buildings within his or her jurisdiction,) the Mayor of Washington, D.C.

Now to be fair to Alabama, the governor did order the flags to be flown at half mast. It's one county commissioner who is ignoring the order. Also apparently they have not lowered the flags in that county since they got that guy, even with other terrorist attacks.

You left out that part. The President can order half staff if a government official has fallen. It makes no mention of civilians.

Flag Code also states the pledge of allegiance that people object to and don't want to say.

It's a silly argument either way and no one should really care because it distracts from the actual issues. He's a turd sure, but he's technically correct in regards to the flag code. It's a non issue IMO.

This was an appropriate response. Notice how the whole community spoke out against this pastor including the mayor and the landowners kicked them out? This is the type that thing that needs to happen to mosques and imams that preach similar messages, but probably wouldn't happen because of multiculturism/pc.

What guy are you talking about? Is it a hypothetical person you are speaking about, or do you actually know of an Imam that has went on a bigoted tirade against gays?

I'm sure if the media got wind of a bigoted Imam going on a bigoted tirade that **** would end up on the news and most likely he'd end up on the FBI Watchlist.
