Film 📽️ THE CINEMA LOUNGE

Disney lawyers are no joke, just ask Chester J. Lampwick. :o

If you guys have 30 minutes please watch this Chaplin short film. He’s legitimately doing John Wick judo throws in this and I was blown away by the choreography.

My best friend and I watched Beetlejuice. Been a few years since either of us had seen it. That's such a perfect film.

Pacing is definitely a huge part of it but for me it’s also just the subject matter. I don’t really have a desire to see a Boogie Nights/Wolf of Wall Street pastiche (Babylon) right now. Nor am I in the mood for a generic Sci-fi adventure (Avatar 2). I quit Tar after 1 hour because the material was just so dry and couldn’t care less about it.[/QUOTE]

The film snob in me wont let me do this even with bad movies. I'm a completionist. To myself, this is the only way I feel to give a proper review/thought on said flicks etc. Also, the bald man in your avie would frown upon your lack of wonder in the more experimental abyss.

:o

I don’t have the time anymore to invest in media I’m not vibing with. I’d rather watch something without it feeling like homework.

One thing they kinda neglect to talk about is not only there's a wide range of what makes a movie star, but the younger crowd don't seek out movies unless it's IP. Also for them stars means tv stars and content creators on tiktok, instagram, and youtube/twitch.

Fassbender has one of the worst streaks an actor can have.

Ever since 2016 he's made crap after crap.

A shame as he seemed to be one of the more promising actors that might have gone up another level.

I just got back from watching RotJ in theaters for the first time in 25 years and now my ranking for the SW movies is all over the place, which is of course the most important thing in the world. Someone hold me. :o

Ha, nice. RotJ has always been higher on my list than for the average SW fan. I love the ending simultaneous conflicts on multiple fronts, just amazing in the cinema.

I'm curious where you think average SW fans have it? I feel like it's almost always in the top 5 at the very least. Most often top 4. With the other two OT flicks and whatever other movie the fan has there with them.

That sounds right yeah, but I guess I’m talking definitively last amongst the OT because of things like Ewoks. Most of my discussions on this were before the prequels and before the internet so I could have it all wrong haha. I had the impression Empire was the default favourite with maybe 30% preferring ANH, with some calling RotJ the beginning of the end.
