10.8 - Abandoned - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I hope Teri has that same snappy attitude she had in Lois and Clark. I always loved her version of Lois. I'm really hoping for some back and forth dynamic between Erica and Teri. Those two could play off of each other so well.

I'm pretty sure Erica and Teri wont be interacting....

The picture of Jor-El and Lara looks great!

Yea terri shot her stuff in la alone. Would have been great if erica and the rest got to work with her. But since the character was dead she is only being seen via tapes.

Ohh. I knew her mom had died, I had forgot when. I thought her stuff with Erica would've been done in flashbacks. My mistake.

No problem man. If you go back a page or two one of us stated wheen lois first appeared she said mom died when she was a kid at age 6 so even if lois was to have had a scene with her. It would have been a kid actor.

There are too many god damn mothers to keep track of on this show. Chloes mom, Lois mom, Clarks mom....misc. meteor infected mothers. Half the mothers on this show are in some way killed or leave.:woot:

So it just dawned on me just how many big/interesting guest appearances we'll be seeing in this episode alone.

Ellen Lane (Teri Hatcher)
Jor-El (Julian Sands)
Lara (Helen Slater)
Mad Harriet (Lindsay Hartley)

Not to mention we'll also be seeing Granny, Desaad, Godfrey, and some Furies. Should be a big episode.

Ah if you could find a link on that would be nice. And speaking of teri what does she currently look like on dh

The women in the audience were looking around like "what's Smallville?"

Interesting point about how many guest-stars in this episode perhaps more than any other. Maybe this is why Oliver is not in this episode, but I also think he's not needed for the Darkseid storyline for this season. :super:

Thanks for link primal. Also she didn't really say she was wearing a wig just having her hair styled like she had for lois and clark. But still thanks for link.

I don't think Tess will betray Clark in this episode or else she'd have done it already during the last two seasons. I wonder if the scene in the trailer where Tess told Clark that her life was a lie happens at episode's end after they dealt with Granny Goodness and the Female Furies.

Anyone else thinking that what we see of Jor-El and Lara might be a final message they recorded for Clark, maybe even when they were putting him in the ship? It could be a great parallel to Lois finding/watching the tapes from her mother.

However it turns out... this really does look like it's going to be an excellent and very emotional Smallville episode. I can't wait.

The preview clip makes me pumped up for this episode. Looks to be a great one!

This is going to be an emotional episode for Clark, Lois, and Tess as they're all abandoned in some ways. Lois sees a message from her mother and Clark will see a message from his real parents. Tess finds out more about her true origins. We know Oliver is not in this episode and doesn't need to be. :super:

Just watched the preview scene. What a nice touching lois and clark scene about parents. Also liked that quick ten sec promo for teri hatcher.

I haven't seen anything more natural from Erica over Teri in terms of acting as Lois. Erica is the more current version so people are obviously more familiar with her.

Erica's Lois and Teri's Lois are just different. I like them both and I kinda disagree when some people say that Teri's Lois was a *****, but I guess I understand why some think so.

If that were the case, how are they going to explain Terence Stamp?

If that were the case, how are they going to explain Terence Stamp?

They already did in "Exodus"

Clark: Who are you?

Voice: I am Jor-El... your father.

Clark: I thought you died!

Jor-El: I am his memory, his will. I am to fulfill his promise and guide you all the days of your life. You are the last son of Krypton. When you traveled through the cosmos, you carried the hopes and dreams of your people. They now live through you, Kal-El. It is time.
