Thanks for the link, the higher res really shows off the details more.

this is really looking like the first real MADE FOR HD Franchise film.
I agree 110%!!! The depths and tone of the GENESIS-CAMERA is really unique AND stunning! And it really does give you that "retro" feel and overall look of the film.. like it's placed in the late 30's or so.. it's really beautiful! You dont even have to be an expert to see that there's something seriously special over the look of the picture in this movie.. everyone will see it... most just wont be able to put their finger on exactly what it is.. but it's there! (and that's enough:))

Yeah, using your superhuman powers to try and seduce another man's fiancee - classy.

And it also appears that his five-year return to Krypton, abandoning Lois, his Neverending Battle and his poor mother, is based on nothing more than a personal whim.

I have to agree....the Come with Me and Where did you go clips actually lowered my expectations for the film...the other clips were good/ok..but these two left a bad impression....

Superman's response to where did you go was cheap (like how he immediately avoided eye contact and the response was too frank and almost selfish)

"astronomers found signs ......so ..uh ..I had to see for myself and that's why I left"

The acting looks great, Routh looks like a convincing Clark and Superman....but but the storyline/script seems to be the only thing that concerns me. I get a weird soap operish vibe from the film.....

Newsflash: "Lois, I never lie"

WTF? I thought it was an amazing scene, especially with the hint at the Krypton theme by Ottman.

Nice retort. I meant he came across as nonchalant and almost indifferent to her feelings in her response. I'm not suggesting he lie, but if you do something this tragic to someone, I would think about the other's person's feelings when giving a response.

I watched a couple of the clips last night and said I wouldn't watch anymore. Today I've watched all 11 and I'm glad I did. If you're holding out, don't! They're really awesome and it's only made me want this movie so much more than I already do.

I would have made a better dialogue than that, and more Superman like.
And then you added unnecessary exposition. Wow.

I am sorry if this sounds stupid but in the this fax just came through clip why does Clark stop and like hide his face before going into the elevator???

Because there were people and he didn't want to turn into Supes with so many eye-witnesses.

There's a pic of Supes on the wall right next to where he was standing

And Richard is waiting for the elevator too.

Yeah I watched it in low res. Didn't see him but that would make sense. Time to rewatch. :)

I just saw the clips...they are not bad, but nothing to write to mom either.
Of course they are just seconds or minutes long, so, it not even cross my mind to say that it means that the movie sucks (which the clips don´t, so, i would never say that).
Two thing that caught my eyes when seeing them...the shirt rip and "and he doesn´t lie".
The shirt rip, might be classic Superman, but damn, he guy is running in a busy street, with a bunch cars in the streets...at least Reeve had the decency to get into a phone booth or a rotating door.
And about when Lois is explaning Superman´s powers to Richard....(which is weird, because would Richard know what they are, it makes Lois be extremely excited with his return that she just can´t shut up), the all "and he doesn´t lie!".
God damn it, i hate that!
I always hated the all "he doesn´t lie" crap.
It makes it look like it´s a power that he has...he doesn´t lie because he chooses not to, not because he can´t.

And then there is the clip "I Thought I Would Never See You Again" , which is, IMO, the worst of the bunch.
First of all (and this may be better in the movie, when we see the all scene), it doesn´t look all that dramatic, when it should be.
And the clip goes like this...

WTF?

Sorry to break it to you, your "improvements" didn't improve much at all. They provided a cardboard cut-out that apparently obtained his entire character development arch in about three dialogue lines. Good job.

Yeah. That's the main reason. Not the picture on the wall. It's that Richard is waiting, Clark doesn't want him to see. Wha'ts cool is that they both take the elevator -- and I love how Singer's juxpositioning them. The "coordinate" dialogue overlap, and then the elevator take-off, one going down, the other up....

Very nice.

And both are flying. :)

I think the pic on the wall is a nice touch though as it looks like the classic scene in a movie where a guy is wanted and hides his face when next to the wanted poster

because if you look closely, you see richard going in the elevator.. he just doesn't want to be seen by him because Richard would understand he is superman

I didn't notice that until I watched it for the 3rd time. I was wondering what the hell he was doing.

I wish I was. I wish I was.

I just have a little nitpicky thing...
I've watched each clip about a hundred times since they came out, and as much as I love the shirt-rip...does anyone else think it is a little anti-climactic? I mean (provided it REALLLY is in the movie and not a publicity shot) it is the first reveal of the suit while he's wearing it. Shouldn't it be more like STM where the camera focuses down on the \S/ and it just seems appropriate, where here it seems like no biggie.

Like I said, very slight nitpick, and it might not even be valid if the rip is "fake" but since this board invites speculation I figured I'd thorw it out there.
