13 Shows We Want New Versions Of

Journeymans issue was that no one cared about the supporting characters...I liked Kevin McKidd but I could give two ****s about anyone else

quantum leap made you care about Sam, Al, and the people Sam leapt into

THE MASTER

For those of you who don't know/remember The Master was about an American ninja who left his clan to try and find his long lost daughter. It starred Lee Van Cleef as The Master, and Sho Kosugi as his former student Okasa who had sworn to kill him for leaving.

i suggested that myself good choice

One that I have always wanted for a while now is Charlies Angels.

You can still keep the continuity of the original, have some cameos by former Angels, keep the continuity from the movie aswell. Make it a lot more kick ass like the movies and add in some mystery and investigations. Im surprised TheCW hasnt done it already.

The Six Million Dollar Man

The title will probably have to change to The Six Billion Dollar Man (inflation and all). Granted The Bionic Woman was a total flop, but I think it was cancelled more from the writers strike and less from low ratings. From what I understand the ratings were good enough for the show to continue, but not good enough to bring it back after the writer strike.

probably so

A lot of the ideas for reboots on that website were kind of shallow and stupid. Like, the kind of think a network executive who has no experience as a writer or storyteller but a lot of experience with what basic ideas attract the most ratings would come up with.

Here is a crazy idea. How about people come up with new ideas! I know right! Crazy!:wow:

I heard someone say once that "There are only about 5 stories in Hollywood which are repeated over & over."

^I don't think it's referring to Hollywood, but all stories in general.

I blame both BSG and TDK for the "dark and gritty".

You cant blame them for the stupidity of the human race.

It's like "Hey, I love this cheeseburger... hot dog? Why arent you a cheeseburger?! You'd taste much better as a cheeseburger. I hate these hot dogs! I want a ****ing cheeseburger!!!!! :cmad:"

Would you blame the cheeseburger? Answer: no. You blame the dumbasses that want everything to be cheeseburgers.

There were a lot of shows that were made to be "dark and gritty" versions of other popular shows long before BSG or TDK came out. Thundarr The Barbarian was a dark and gritty action cartoon in an age when all action cartoons were dumbed down to be less violent (The Superfriends, The Adventures Of Hercules, etc). Then there was Dark Angel which was a darker version of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Star Trek: DS9 was a darker, grittier version of TOS and TNG. BSG & TDK are just the latest examples.

I'd like to see Babylon 5 attacked with a higher budget

Lol I knew Miami Vice was gonna end up in their. And why they want a dark, gritty approach to the show. Thats why it failed towards the end and series ended. Miami Vice cannot be dark and grity, it has to be light toned. But I would not mind them remaking it if the actors are good and the show has good episodes.

Shows like Reunion can be remade since it only lasted 9 episodes, but have a bad feeling a show like that would end up on CW network, and you know CW has terrible shows and nothing but lame drama shows and direct to dvd comedy shows. But if its on NBC and its a good suspense/thriller with good actors and story I watch it.

How, exactly? I mean, yeah, Buffy made with the funny a lot, but it also made with the horrible pain and a death quite often.

After watching a ton of the old episodes on Youtube, I'd love for the Muppet Show to come back. Too bad it'll probably suck hard.

Anybody think if they remade Miami Vice it could be good? With the right casts of actors and good director it can be good. Have ti have a 21st century 2000s feel to it.

Honestly, from what I've seen of the older shows, Burn Notice is kinda like a modern Miami Vice/MacGuyver hybrid.
