When did you join the Hype?
I first learned of the Hype waaay back in 2000 from an issue of Wizard. I lurked for a while until finally breaking down and joining in Feb 2001. I was desperately trying to ignore the fact that it was near Valentine's Day and everyone I knew was getting some. I was in college.

Oh Lord, you're asking a history major to tell his favorite event? There are just too many. The Spanish meeting the Aztecs, maybe. That whole story was epic. Or maybe the return of Lenin to Russia.

My mother and her parents, all of whom have passed. I never really knew my grandparents and my Mom and I need to get some things said.

I guess its the sense of happiness. The thought that the world was a good place and anything could happen.

The quick and simple answer to many of these is No. I hate heights. I do love camping though. A buddy and I went to a dingy little family camping ground in the Wisconsin Dells years ago and we had a blast. I want to do it in a real wilderness sometime.

Hm, I did get drunk on peppermint schnapps and Sprite once. I wouldnt do it again. When I was in Germany, I went to a restaurant and the guy asked me if I wanted mayo with my fries, which is how they do it there. I said sure and he told me "No, you want ketchup." I was willing to try. I do remember reading a newspaper at the table and there was a topless Page 5 girl. Damn, I miss Europe.

Fav stand up comedian? Too many. Either Robin Williams, Lewis Black, Bill Mahr or George Carlin. Cant say I've ever seen any live shows for anything, except for the Beach Boys 15 years ago or so. I really wasnt paying attention because my little brother always played the same damn tape in the car, no matter how short the drive. I was sick to death of them.

What made you change your Hype screen name from Demogoblin to your current moniker?

In my opinion, "Demogoblin" was way cooler. Do you care that I feel that way?

Its a Spider-Nerd thing. Hobgoblin is a way better villain than Demogoblin. I felt that I'd "graduated" to become Hobgoblin. I dont now if I will ever be good enough to be called Green Goblin.

I've got to confess, I dont listen to a lot of new music. I'm getting old so I listen to a lot of 90's and early 00's rock. I do like Cage the Elephant and Sick Puppies. As for new rock that I dont like, anything from Death Cab for Cutie or that annoying emo band. I dont remember its name, so I'll say all of them.

I havent seen it, but I dont know if I will. Tim Burton is a fellow manic depressive and he and I jibe in certain ways. Sometimes his movies really hit home with me. (See: my afore mentioned love of Batman Returns.) On the other hand, I've heard its just a bad movie. We'll see.

I really enjoyed it. It's far from perfect, but I thought it was really good.
