I agree with you but I still remember a lot of cries of outrage before Casino Royale came out. All I'm saying is wait and see.

He was ok but I dont like him as 007. I kept thinking how much that movie would have rocked if Pierce Brosnan was still Bond.

Blond Bond anyone ?
No. Daniel Craig played a 007 that was more faithful to the novels than most that had preceded him. He happened to have blonde hair, which was more or less irrelevant.

This Joker will be great because they got what the character is all about, they seem to have captured his very essence.

1) We know that they have screwed up his appearance.
2) We have no idea how they have approached his character.
3) Your argument is that what we do know is irrelevant because what we don't know is more important. Call me an anal empiricist, but I prefer reason to faith.

Ok OK, your an anal empiricist.....but god damn I have to give ya credit, for the reason over faith part.

Not everyone thinks they "screwed up" his appearance. Some folks like it. That is the beauty of a fiction- you get to make things up as you go. Let go of the stronghold on the comics and learn to appreciate what we have for our viewing pleasure on the big screen. Not entirely comic- and not entirely real. A nice blend of both.

This may have been a good opportunity to re-read your post before declaring this.

I bet not a lot of people know what "empiricist" means.

oh crap- i read "analrapist"... glad you pointed that out Ted. :cwink:

Is it like a rash er sumthing. Cause you can go to your local Pharmacy and get some ointment.

"Analrapist," awesome.

"No no, don't worry, it's pronounced 'ah-nahl-rah-pissed."

"That doesn't make me feel better..."

exactly. a bit presumptuous to think and proclaim otherwise.

For goodness' sake, I'm sure you don't need me to write "IMO" after every sentence in order for you to realise that I am speaking for myself.

Oh, my bad- Cause I though you said "We all know that they have screwed up his appearance"

We is the new I??? sweet... haha

I guess Jack was closer at least in appearance to what we were used to in the comics, but to me he never truly was a scary foe and never really represented a real threat to Batman (the fight in the bell tower at the end of B89 was particularly disastrous).
Even though this new Joker strays from the usual incarnations he still looks like he could really harm the Bat and the ones around him.
Some would argue that we could get a more "conventional" Joker that would still be dangerous, but we can't always get what we want (I for one was looking forward to a Joker closer to Conrad Veidt in the man who laugs) and apparently this is not to be so I'll settle for the next best thing, because I'm craving a darker take on the character, a truly creepy Joker.
The better the villain, the better the movie. A. Hitchcock.

That's not much of an indicator of personal opinion.

Unless of course, we prefer to refer to ourselves like the Queen of England.

well, i feel this the best look for the Joker I've ever seen. So it's really all opinion.

2) and 3) are true, whether you want to treat them as opinion or not. 1) Does not sound like opinion, because it is an answer to a generalised comment from another poster, and I am replying in a similar vein. The second person plural is employed to denote both the speaker and the audience. Okay?

I'm not surprised with all this hate towards Joker's look. I mean, we are in a place where fans almost kill Raimi because he used organic webs in Spider-man.

We haven't seen nothing yet. Wait till you see him smile.

Wow, so you don't like the look of the Joker in the comics? You like this look of Joker mixed with a Panda and the Crow against the classic:

^Shame they've been giving us that crap for the past 67 years:rolleyes:

I don't know but The Joker Bob Kane came up with is pure crap.

Heath's Joker is obviously what we should have gotten in the past 67 years, damn those comic book artists who have been screwing us over.

his nose isn't even black and surrounded by fur where are you fellas getting this panda thing from

Who cares? This version is way better than the crap comics. I know you agree.

maybe if he was wearing an alternating black and white fursuit
