Someone help me out.....cbssportsline says the Panthers gave up the 59th pick, but Charlotte.com says we still have it. I admit, I went down the street to the liqour store after the Bengals took Malauga to pick up beer for the night, so whats the deal?

Unger is gone.....they had better hope that Beatty or Loadholt drops to them.

The Panthers still have it I believe.

If we still have it, then my tone changes and I'm happy. This way, we can still possibly move Peppers for a 1st next season, and now we can grab our DT at 59.

I do like Brown as a player, reminds me alot of the Colt DE's, which makes sense with Meeks. And I still think Meeks can turn Charles Johnson into a stud. I've liked Johnson from the moment we drafted him.

LeSean McCoy to Phily, love it. More explosive than Moreno, a lot like Westbrook. In terms of value Phily has prob. had the best draft; McCoy was considered late 1st talent before the combine, and Maclin was thought to go possibly top 10.

The fact that the Lions passed on Oher for a TE speaks volumes.
.

Oher was never an option for the Lions, He only projects as a RT, which we just drafted in the 1st round last season (Gosder Cherilus). You cant put Oher at LT due to his learning disability and Cherilus doesnt have the quickness to move to LT.

William Beatty will likely still be on the board when the Lions draft at 65.

Very true post. The Steelers already face the Ravens twice a year, and quietly, the Bengals are building a good young defense, and it just got some attitude with Rey Maulaluga. It's more workman like than the Ravens and the Steelers with there blitz happy schemes, but still.

The fact that the Pats who need LB help badly passed on Maualuga should seriously scare the Bengals. Those missed tackles in college tend to get magnified at the NFL level. He's by no means a Polamalu

Best case scenario for Pat White is that he becomes Seneca Wallace or Kordell Stewart. The Wildcat's days are numbered, I wouldnt be banking on that to make his career. Eventually that will die the same unceremonious death that the Option and the Spread did in the NFL.

Plus, he disrespected Erin Andrews... he should've dropped to the 7th round for that one.

I get a vibe that White is another Michael Vick in the making.

So it's safe to assume you wouldn't let him watch after your dog? :cwink:

Carolina still has 59. You just gave up next year's 1st I believe

My team has made the right moves thus far I think, focusing on defense with Jerry from Ole Miss and Moore from Missouri.

Anyone seen Mike Leach's comments on Mangini and the Browns regarding their complaints that Crabtree is a "diva"? Leach pretty much laid the smack down on Mangini. He said that Crabtree is a pretty shy, hard-working, but confident person and that the Browns never even contacted Leach to talk about Crabtree. He also said that Crabtree has been more successful as a receiver than Mangini has been as a coach and that he can't wait to see "how those non-divas in Cleveland do next season."

Leach is always entertaining, that's for sure. I think he laid a pretty good smackdown on Mangini, and I would think he knows Crabtree a hell of a lot better than the Browns organization so I would tend to give more credence to his assessment of Crabtree's character than the Browns.

Go on...

(I wasn't watching.)

Here in the late second round they just started messing with the cameras and had them produce a funhouse mirror effect. I thought Marshall Faulk was gonna die laughing while they watched the camera go from analyst to analyst, warping their heads to freakish sizes.

Ah, hehehehe. I hope that ends up on YT later.

Is Mike Leach still pretending to be a pirate?
...maybe that's why no one asked him.

WAY TO GO JERRY... a whopping ZERO players so far... he tries to get so cute on draft day it's making me vomitt... wtf is he going to do with 12 picks tomorrow??? He needs guys that can compete for starting jobs not backups... I don't know what he's thinking trading that pick when Moore (S) and Beatty (OT) were still up there. Giants actually filled their needs with good value picks... as did the Skins and Trashgles... and Jerry does nothing. Gauranteed half those picks tomorrow are backups at best that will be released after 3-4 years.
