Game of The Year 2011 Discussion

Me too. Lots of games I want to play this year.

I know every year people throw out "XXXX is going to be the best year in gaming ever!" But I really do think that 2011 is going to be the best year in games since 1998.

That was a great year in video games. This year really does stack up unless all the big name releases somehow suck at the same time.

It's still early but here's some of the games that I think will duke it out for the AIAS' GOTY award.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Rage
L.A. Noire
ME3 (If this actually comes out this year)
Batman: Arkham City

For me, it's going to be between Skyrim and Uncharted 3. Maybe Arkham City, I liked Asylum but it was overrated and had some REALLY crappy parts (all the Bane clones and the worst final boss fight I've ever played).

For me probably between Batman: Arkham City and LoZ: Skyward Sword.

Maybe Xenoblade should it come here this year.

I forgot Skyward Sword. That will probably be up there, too. Despite all the *****ing and moaning before the release of every Zelda game since Ocarina of Time, they've all been quality games.

Yup, I've never been let down. A new Zelda means a fun, epic feeling adventure where I'm an awesome elf that stabs things in the face and save the world, that's never bad.

So LoZ and Batman are my two most anticipated games this year.
