2010 NFL Draft Discussion

10 down and Jimmy Clausen is still out there. If Seattle and San Fran opt out of him, the Steelers could grab him. Of course, he is not free of off-field problems.

San Diego jumps up 16 spots to graaab...Ryan Matthews? Wow, I think they jumped up way to high to grab a running back. They could have gotten a better trade further down in the draft.

Once we got out of the top ten, it's been trade city thus far.

San Diego trades up to get Ryan Mathews. Smart move.

And now the Broncos have traded down too. I really don't get what the hell McDaniels is doing.

I think its time to make the draft a media/players only event...the fans have gotten out of hand the past few years and its getting embarrassing

Clausen may very well be in play if the 49ers give Nate Davis a shot next year! Rooneys, I am begging you, take Clausen and trade Ben for picks next year or a safety. Once the suspension is up, we can ask anything for him. Please take Clausen. :(

I get that when he was hired, young head coaches were trendy, between Harbaugh, and Tomlin, but I think Denver really screwed the pooch in hiring McDaniels. He cleary has neither the maturity nor the knowledge to be a head coach.

Do the right thing Rooney, take Clausen.

Clausen is still available. Our secondary blows, with the exception of Polamalu, and we draft a center. Sure, the O-line isn't great, but that couldn't been handled in the second or third round. Wow.

Dan Rooney needs to come back, restore the integrity of this team, and get a coach and front office who know what the **** they're doing.

Clausen is going to be a bust....quote me on it

Better a bust than a rapist.

None the less, Arizona could take Clausen. Can't be worse than Leinhart. Especially under the tuteledge of a coach like Whisenhunt from a young age. I don't see how Arizona passes that up.

If Kyle Wilson keeps falling the Lions need to trade up into the 1st round.

McDaniels now trades up for the 22 and goes for Demaryius Thomas instead of Dez Bryant. WTF, mate?

Move over Cable, McDaniels very well the stupidest coach in the NFL today.

Matt....you're in drama queen overdrive today, I know the whole Ben issue has you upset but you need to relax

I think Denver is thinking long term and they are also trying to save money...drafting Dez Bryant in the first round means a ****load of guaranteed money...I also think this is why this first round is filled with so many linemen and position players, teams aren't going to have to pay these guys a **** ton of money

I like Dez going to Dallas.

Interested in seeing what the Triumvirate makes out of trading down from #12.

Tebow to the Broncos..

Where the hell are Norman and Excel?

I like this move....Tebow knows he'll be behind Orton at the get and I think the offense there suits him

and he can do his church thing there too.....and cure cancer and all that

Not really. I fail to see the logic in any move McDaniels is making. Tim Tebow now? And trading up to get him? Why? Orton did great last season. Nearly 4,000 yards, a good amount of TDs. Only 12 interceptions. He's not bad. Denver has far more problems than QB to worry about. First Brady Quinn, then Tebow. Especially after signing the free agent tender with Orton. Three quarterbacks making good money...hardly planning for the future. Nothing McDaniels is doing makes sense. I mean, hell, they traded up for him. How much risk was there of Arizona or Baltimore taking him? McDaniels is being about as effective in this draft as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Tebow?!?! Really Denver?! Really?!

McDaniels wanted someone close to his own age.

Me and co-workers often joke that he looks like he hasn't even hit his 18th birthday. Plus, I have a 22 year old brother named Josh..so the first image I have of that name is a young'un, not an NFL coach.

I could see Denver dealing Brady Quinn....if not this coming season, maybe before next season

Yeah, I can't even begin to explain how ****ing pissed I am about not taking Kyle Wilson with that pick. We decide to keep the QB who's the best in the league on the run, and what do we do? Protect his pocket, instead of shoring up the reason we lost so many games last year... The ****ing secondary.

This is stupid, Pittsburgh. Effin' STUPID.

Picking up Tebow after going out and getting Quinn when Orton did decently last year makes no sense to me. No sense. The Thomas pick makes SOME sense with his massive size, but Dallas may have made up for passing on Moss years ago with picking up Dez Bryant. [/Excel]

So far, the Tebow pick is the only one that has baffled me and made no sense to me.
